My Boy Jack
by David Haig
The year is 1913 and war with Germany is imminent. Rudyard Kipling's determination to send his myopic son to war triggers a bitter family conflict which leaves Britain's renowned patriot torn between his own greatest passions: his love for his children and his devotion to King and Country. MY BOY JACK is a powerful and moving account of anguish at the heart of a man whose storytelling continues to delight millions throughout the world.
TICKETS: £14.00, Concessions £13.00 Club Members £12.00 (IF PAID FOR A WEEK IN ADVANCE)

THE HIRED MAN
THE HIRED MAN
Acclaimed for its epic, nostalgic, funny book and rousing, romantic, award-winning score, THE HIRED MAN is arguably the finest new British musical of the last thirty years. Set against the backdrop of the Cumbrian lakes in the early years of the Twentieth century, it tells the timeless, moving story of a young married couple and their struggle to carve a living from the land, just as the traditional rhythms of English country life are being swept away by the gathering storm of war in Europe. It’s haunting, thrilling, stirring stuff. THE HIRED MAN is based on the much-loved novel by Melvyn Bragg, and brought to life by the heartbreakingly-beautiful music of Howard Goodall, the EMMY, BRIT and BAFTA award-winning composer of stage, film and TV scores.

OH SO FUNNY COMEDY presents
BROADWAY SHOWTIME
COMEDY NIGHT
Join the Palmerstone Stage School as they host a variety extravaganza at the KMT. The show will consist of music, dance, drama, comedy and much, much more.
Oh So Funny Comedy brings you a wonderful night of excellent comedy in aid of the Dale Jacobs Memorial Fund. The evening is hosted by the brilliant Patrick Monahan, winner of ITV's Show Me the Funny, and most recently seen on Splash! with Tom Daley. We have a tantalising line up of the very best comedians from TV, Radio and the comedy circuit.*
The show will feature all the pupils of the Palmerstone Stage School, plus guest artistes.
Based on the popular Radio and Television series The Kenneth More Theatre are thrilled to have teamed up with Simon Brett and Chris Summerfield to present the PREMIÈRE of their charming new musical AFTER HENRY. A musical from the heart of Middle England, it followed the fortunes of Sarah France , a well-todo GP's wife, getting on with life after the death of her husband Henry. She shares her large Edwardian house with daughter Clare and mother Eleanor Prescott. Literally sandwiched between the two generations: Sarah's on the middle floor, with 'Mother' (as she's mainly known) on the top and Clare in the basement. While Clare is keen to assert her independence, Mother is more intent on running her gossip network through her on-call 'geriatric Mafia'. Salvation comes in the shape of Russell Bryant, who runs the crumbling Bygone Books shop, where Sarah works. Originally written for, and broadcast on Radio 4 before transferring to television, starring Prunella Scales and Joan Sanderson, AFTER HENRY is a true British institution. Ticket Prices: £15.00, Concessions £14.00, (Club Members £13.00 IF PAID FOR A WEEK IN ADVANCE)

As well as great music, the show is full of many hilarious anecdotes.

by Alan Ayckbourn
The 2014 version of the annual song and dance spectacular featuring performers from tiny tots to adults. With boundless energy, lavish costumes and a cast of outstanding performers, this production will showcase an abundance of homegrown talent.
LIVING TOGETHER starts with a planned naughty weekend and ends as a family sized series of comic misunderstandings and mismatched relationships. You wouldn't want to live with the dysfunctional family members that playwright Alan Ayckbourn has created in LIVING TOGETHER, but they are fun to watch in this romp through infidelity. Let the cast do all the work while you sit back and laugh at Ayckbourn's gift for combining comedy and savagery.

Take a trip with us to Runyonland and meet a cast of vivid characters on the way. The musical fable set in Damon Runyon’s mythical New York City was originally premiered on Broadway in 1950. It ran for 1200 performances and won the Tony Award for Best Musical. Be introduced to: Sister Sarah Brown, out to reform the sinners of Times Square; Sky Masterson, the coolest high roller of them all, who woos her on a bet and then falls in love; Adelaide, engaged for 14 years to Nathan Detroit, who is desperate to find a location for his floating crap game. Add to the mix, gangsters, policemen, Save-a-Soul Missionaries, Hot Box Girls and music by Frank Loesser featuring such favourites as Luck Be a Lady, Take Back Your Mink, Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat and you have the recipe for an inspiring evening – we welcome your company on the journey.
