from the

FOUNDER AND CEO

Launched in 2017, The KNOW Women began as a way to bring more attention to dynamic women doing remarkable things in the Phoenix metro. We knew there were an outstanding number of women impacting the community and making big strides in their industries. Our goal was to get those women out from behind their computer screens and into the public eye. Thus, we created the KNOW Book, a carefully curated publication that would feature vision-led women in a glamorous and authentic style. As the momentum grew and we recognized the need for more, we launched our Collaborative around the women featured in our KNOW Book. Our mix & mingles soon ensued and we witnessed incredible things happening. We saw our women doing business with each other, creating friendships, supporting each other, collaborating on projects together, and so much more. What started as a fun project to spotlight women, has turned into a full-blown movement. The KNOW Women has expanded beyond its birthplace of Phoenix, Arizona; its aim is to launch in every major city across the United States and Canada.

LEXI DIYESO HAZEL TWENTY & MAISIE TWENTY Strong. Dedicated. Passionate. These words best describe Lexi DiYeso. As a former Division I collegiate soccer player and University of South Carolina graduate, she’s found great power in exercise, training and discipline, and began her career as a personal trainer and fitness coach. Shortly after the birth of her third child, she began moving towards the creation of a clothing boutique and gathering place for women. She started working from home and established an eBay business focused on hand-picked denim, boutique clothing and accessories. This quickly transformed into, Hazel Twenty, the first mobile clothing truck in Asheville. In May of 2018, Hazel Twenty took residency at the corner of Patton and Lexington – almost 10 years after Lexi began her journey. Less than one year later Lexi launched a second boutique focused on children’s clothing and accessories, and fondly named it “Maisie Twenty” after her newest pup and store mascot. ELLINOR STENROOS EVSTENROOS – CONTEMPORARY, CUSTOM FINE JEWELLERY With every piece of art Ellinor Stenroos makes, she creates a striking keepsake. Her art -whether jewellery made to endure the everyday, or special occasion objects- is built to become a legacy. “I create pieces of art, rather than ‘just jewellery’. It’s more than a commodity. It’s a symbol of a significant moment in time for the wearer –which should be uniquely conveyed in the piece; to be treasured, and handed down through generations.” Raised in Swedish speaking Finland and recognized internationally for her bold, luxurious statement pieces rendered in contemporary Scandinavian style, Ellinor’s use of clean lines and architectural integrity appeals to those who are “confident in their own style.” Her classical silver- and goldsmithing education from the UK enables her to create jewellery that can stand the test of time –whether incorporating family gemstones, redesigning pre-existing jewellery or creating a bespoke piece of art inspired by you.

MEREDITH YOUNG MEREDITH YOUNG JEWELRY Meredith was wild about working with a torch and metal from the age of 16. Her grandparents’ home in Green Valley, Arizona spurred an early interest in minerals and the lapidary arts. Meredith attended Marist High School which allowed her to fill her curriculum with different studio art classes, as well as, art history classes. These teachers, along with her parents, were paramount in her development as an artist. In college she majored in Art History with a minor in English at the University of Georgia, concentrating in sculpture and contemporary installation art. Upon graduation, Meredith reverted back to “making art,” filling her evenings and weekends with metalsmithing classes and workshops. For nearly a decade, she worked in a corporate business development career and designed and created jewelry at night in her studio selling her jewelry in local boutiques. In 2016 when she took her passion full time, launching her first collections of fine jewelry and one-of-a-kind works of art. Made in LA and Arizona, her jewelry seeks to combine opposed visual aesthetics: the geometric and the organic, chaos and order, and negative and positive space.

Christina did not take the traditional fashion designer route. She was a tech executive for over 12 years, where she created and launched multi-million dollar tech products. She taught herself fashion design and manufacturing, and married that knowledge with her business background to launch Soulgani. The idea to create Soulgani was born during a hike in Peru. Christina saw the most beautiful rock on top of a mountain, snapped a picture of it, and thought to incorporate it into her first leggings. She pulls inspiration from nature with each collection. To make it full circle, Soulgani gives a portion of every sale back to a charity associated with the source of its design inspiration. Soulgani’s mission is to “Do Good. Be Good.” PHOTO CREDIT: CHRISTINA JONES PHOTOGRAPHY

ALISON FARNAN SATIN & LACE BRIDAL BOUTIQUE

Originally from the UK Alison came over to Florida with her family in 2006. After helping her husband grow his exterior cleaning business, she launched a successful photobooth business. A qualified interior designer, she brought her design flare to enhancing the photobooth experience at many weddings having fun and make memories for her clients. Alison has a family history in dress making; her mom was a seamstress in London. So, when the opportunity arose to create a new bridal boutique experience, it was no surprise she took it with open arms. Alison developed the concept of large private suites for the bride and her entourage, creating her own collection of bridal gowns working with top designers, as well as a new local designer out of Lakeland, to make every bride feel special. Satin and Lace Bridal Boutique was opened in January 2019 in the beautiful Winthrop Town Center in Brandon.
