FOUNDER AND CEO
Launched in 2017, The KNOW Women began as a way to bring more attention to dynamic women doing remarkable things in the Phoenix metro. We knew there were an outstanding number of women impacting the community and making big strides in their industries. Our goal was to get those women out from behind their computer screens and into the public eye. Thus, we created the KNOW Book, a carefully curated publication that would feature vision-led women in a glamorous and authentic style. As the momentum grew and we recognized the need for more, we launched our Collaborative around the women featured in our KNOW Book. Our mix & mingles soon ensued and we witnessed incredible things happening. We saw our women doing business with each other, creating friendships, supporting each other, collaborating on projects together, and so much more. What started as a fun project to spotlight women, has turned into a full-blown movement. The KNOW Women has expanded beyond its birthplace of Phoenix, Arizona; its aim is to launch in every major city across the United States and Canada.

When I was in school, I photographed fresh bread from the local Italian Bakery. The aroma, intensified by the studio lights, drew fellow students to investigate what I was shooting. They hovered, waiting for me to get the shot so they could eat. We shared bread. Grateful, hungry students and friends came together. This is the power of food. Food is connection. The creators of food add a part of themselves and not only nourish others but add a little soul to what they make. For every bite of food we take, there is a story behind it. Creating food photos and videos is not a commercial pursuit; it is art. It is my passion. Alana Ragland and Erika Twohy have invested a combined 45 years in education in low socioeconomic schools. TRACI AHLSTROM BEAGLEY SUNLAND HOME CARE Traci Ahlstrom Beagley is following in the family legacy of working with seniors for over 60 years, that her great grandfather and grandpa, Joe and Ross Farnsworth, built in the East Valley in 1958, and currently, her dad, Craig Ahlstrom, continues. Sunland Home Care provides qualified caregivers to assist people as they age in the comfort of their home. She has been actively involved in all aspects of the business. Community service is an important conviction to Traci. She was a founding member of the Arizona Family Council. Traci has served in her legislative district and has, also, enjoyed her membership in the Mesa Rotary. In 2018, Traci was diagnosed with breast cancer. In 2010, Rachelle Chapman was playfully pushed into a pool at her bachelorette party weeks before her wedding. She hit the bottom of the pool head first, breaking her neck, and sustained a severe spinal cord injury. She was told she’d never walk again. Rachelle could have easily given up on life, constantly asked why her and wondered what if? But she made the decision to move forward in her life with positivity and determination. 13 weeks after her injury she began playing adapted sports such as wheelchair rugby, hand cycling and even surfing. Since then she has started a blog called Diary of a Wheel Girl and has become a disability rights advocate, speaker, NYT bestselling author, wife and mother to a little girl. Ursula Mae is a multi-faceted entrepreneur, local influencer and nonprofit advocate.
After premiering on the TLC Channel in 2017, Ursula was able to use her platform to be a positive role model for strength and independence for women around the world. She was recently named CEO of Rico’s Travel Cuba, connecting people through travel from the U.S. and Cuba. She also founded ‘The Beat St Pete,’ a mobile hip-hop dance company.
As it is her passion to work with children, Ursula has served underprivileged kids in Tampa Bay for six years. In 2019 she partnered with Cupid’s Charities to launch the first annual Bathrobe Brunch event, a movement she plans to expand across the U.S., to raise money for a cure for neurofibromatosis (a disorder that affects 1 in 3,000 births).

Self proclaimed “Healer”, Tampa native Betty DawL is a woman of many talents: Singer / Songwriter / Producer / & DJ. DawL began writing music when she was about 8 years old. She would spend hours alone in her room with her keyboard lip-syncing to Alicia Keys, foreshadowing her passion for not only songwriting, but also production. In 2012, Betty DawL wrote her first mixtape while learning to DJ. In 2014, she met Jordan Patrick and they started a duo called “TRAPFONE”. By 2015, DawL added production to her range. Sabrina also teaches Beginner’s Photography on an individual or group setting to those that desire to grow from hobbyist to professional photography. Sabrina resides with her husband who’s also a photographer within her company. She’s a mother of 6 beautiful boys and is very active in her church and volunteer in her community.
