Launched in 2017, The KNOW Book + Tribe was created as a way to bring more attention to dynamic women doing remarkable things in the Phoenix metro. We knew there were an outstanding number of diverse women impacting the community and making big strides in their industries. Our goal was to get those women from behind their computer screens and into the public eye. Thus, we created the KNOW Book, a carefully curated publication that would feature vision-led women in a glamorous and authentic style. As the momentum grew and we recognized the need for more, we launched our Tribe around the women featured in our KNOW Book. Our mix & mingles soon ensued and we witnessed incredible things happening. We saw our women doing business with each other, creating friendships, supporting each other, collaborating on projects together and so much more. What started as a fun project to spotlight women, has turned into a full-blown movement. The KNOW Book + Tribe has expanded beyond its birthplace of Phoenix, Arizona; its aim is to launch in every major city across the United States and Canada. Today, we are excited to unveil our first volume of KNOW Los Angeles. The women featured in this book have been vetted against our high standards. Heather Dorak is the founder and owner of Pilates Platinum. HOME & LIFE RACHEL CANNON You may recognize Rachel Cannon from one of your favorite sitcoms, but that’s not why she hopes you’ll remember her name. Five years ago, Rachel partnered with the Stanfordeducated dermatologists, Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields, representing their high-end clinical skincare brand with a mission to empower women with entrepreneurship. “You shouldn’t have to choose between being a stay-athome mom OR a powerful business woman. You can do both!” says Cannon. Rachel mentors to thousands of women as they start a business of their own. She helps them crawl out of that pesky comfort zone, shove their fear in the closet and take a chance on themselves. Rachel has created an incredible community where women truly support each other, not only in business, but in life. These girls are dreaming bigger and running harder after the things that make them happy. And they never have to do it alone. “Ladies, the only limits we have are the ones we allow.”

STEPHANIE LEESE, ALLIED ASID L2 INTERIORS Stephanie Leese is a Partner and Principal Designer at L2 Interiors, a Santa Monica-based design firm that she co-founded in 2010. Through a collaborative design process, she expertly guides her clients, bringing their dreams to life. Driven by design vision, she never shies away from demolishing a wall or two if it means achieving the best results. Her fresh perspective and originality, coupled with a high level of technical expertise, has led to the successful completion of a wide array of projects from small bathroom remodels to full ground-up home builds, you can see her in action on HGTV’s House Hunters Renovation. L2 Interiors has also been one of the selected designers of the Pasadena Showcase House of Design for 6 years. Stephanie is an outspoken social justice advocate with particular interest in women’s rights, LGBTQ equality, and immigration rights. She is co-leader of her church’s Church & Society Committee, whose mission focuses on economic and environmental justice, civil and human rights outside of the church.
