Are you craving a glass of holiday eggnog but avoiding dairy? This delicious recipe will satisfy your sweet tooth with a natural energy boost. Makes two servings of protein-rich, mushroom-enhanced, nutmeg-flavoured smoothie.

INGREDIENTS 2 frozen bananas ¼ cup macadamia nuts or cashews 2 cups oat milk or your choice of milk substitute 1 Tbsp of hemp hearts ½ tsp nutmeg powder ½ tsp cinnamon powder 1 pinch of sea salt 2 Tbsp of maple syrup (optional) 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder 1 -2 scoops of unflavoured collagen, like

DIRECTIONS Prepare your nuts by soaking them overnight in a bowl of water. Add milk, drained nuts, maple syrup, bananas, hemp hearts, protein powder, and spices into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. For a thinner consistency, add a little more of your chosen milk alternative. Transfer into cups and enjoy as a healthy, hearty snack.
