Urban agriculture has played an essential role in the development of cities throughout history as well as in sustainable development, in the development of society. It is critical to establish an urban-rural relationship in improving the quality of life in urban areas. On the one hand, the rapidly increasing population phenomenon, on the other hand, the presence of exhausted natural resources has led to an understanding of the importance of sustainable development. Protecting the environment and sustainability in the face of the fact that natural resources are limited and may run out is an inevitable fact today. In the history of Istanbul, it is seen that every village around the Bosphorus has an orchard in itself. This was same as in Beyoğlu district. Bostan Neighborhood, which was on the borders of Beyoğlu district in the 1940s and even took its name from the past (previous land use), is a clue to the fact that urban agriculture has been done before. However, the phenomenon of the increasing population has resulted in a decrease in such green areas. Today, it is seen that the remaining green space in Bostan Neighborhood has resulted in the transformation of the vegetable garden/ orchard area into green areas. Although two vegetable gardens have been using actively in Istanbul today, the remaining areas have been transformed to urbanization. To ensure the continuity of this everyday life (culture of life), the productive landscape, it was set out with the question of whether it was possible to be a part of the producing collectively, just in the center of Istanbul, after the surveys it was seen that the presence of utilitarian green areas in Taksim and close surrounding was used to productive landscape commonly.

Edible Forest Gardens, which are proposed for a competition area with the potential for productive landscapes in the past, are planned in a principle that will carry off the urban permaculture concept. The method of companion planting, which is the concept that was planting different types of plants side by side in a garden. A way of horticulture that uses "synergistic effects" found in nature, i.e. it is aimed to promote cooperation between plants to achieve optimum health and vitality. It is to plant by planning to increase their benefits and reduce their harm. One of the effective methods used in ecological agriculture is to prevent pests, become a food item in the soil, to control the amount of moisture and water of the ground, and to provide physical and know-how support to each other. Using this method; monitoring of the summer-winter balance; 3 separate "Edible Forest Garden" has been created with plant alternatives in 6 different layers, where companion plants are used together for the creation of deciduous and evergreen species alternatives. EFG01 (Edible Forest Garden 01) is recommended to allow the lives of aromatic medical trees and shrub groups under the canopy tall deciduous trees. The use of medicinal, aromatic plants was also supported in herbaceous and ground coverings; for the deciduous tree, the evergreen climbing species have been selected. EFG02 (Edible Forest Garden 02) also consists of fruit trees; In the types of shrubs, herbaceous and ground coverings, medical aromatic plants are used considering the time and leaf cycle. As a climber species, all green species have been selected to contrast with deciduous fruit trees. EFG03 (Edible Forest Garden 03) is preferred in coniferous tree species, and forest fruits are included in the types of shrubs and sub-canopy trees. In herbaceous and ground-covering species, medicinal and aromatic plants have been included. As a species of climbers, the presence of species that will benefit from the smell, colour and benefit has also been preferred. In this way, with communities that dream of the future of the urban residents; it is aimed to facilitate access to healthy, economical, fairly produced food and providing cultural habitat.

The structure attached to the commercial unit facade of the building; It is suggested that the space be expressed in different colors to increase its functional legibility and be housed in all its installations. Emphasising that Taksim is the place where the water in its historical memory is distributed, the structure will be shaped by colored metal water pipes. The trees in the flower pot disrupt pedestrian flow and cannot provide enough shade because the trees cannot grow. A more appropriate shading can be achieved by the steel tensioners wrapped around the greenery, which is placed between the streets without disturbing the perception of the facade.

The side surfaces of the corridor opened in the direction of the urban memory axis are shaped by semi-open spaces. These will include the exhibition, the memorial wall, the history of the region and the time line.

A circular gap was proposed to ensure a healthy and comfortable access and wait for people using public transportation. Along with this proposal, a green courtyard has been proposed to absorb the dirty gases such as co and co2 of pedestrians who are getting off the bus or waiting there. This is provided by a ramp, one of the vertical circulation elements around the green courtyard. The gap opened will also remove noise pollution.

The corridor opened between the staircases to strengthen the relationship between the square and the park will facilitate the breathing of the square and the access of the people in the square to the park.

View bridges have been proposed to give users different experiences within the Gezi park.

By designing an eco link that combines the Gezi Park and the Ataturk Library, it is aimed to increase the access of people coming from the direction of Taşkışla to the Gezi Park.

It is aimed that the production of the city parks with edible plants can be done not only in the rural areas but also in the cities.
