Muszyna
Muszyna is a small town located in the Poprad River Valley, at the foot of the Beskid Sądecki, in the range of Jaworzyna Krynicka. It used to be the capital of the Church State and today it is a frequently visited resort. Its greatest advantage is its location in a peaceful area and mineral waters which are the reason why numerous visitors come to the place. They come for mineral waters and the Beskid climate in which you can take a rest. However, Muszyna is not only a spa – it is a town full of historic
sites which date back even to the Middle Ages, full of interesting stories and remainders of people who used to dwell in this area, the Muszyna State and the trade route which used to run through the place. And finally, Muszyna abounds in new attractions which appear year after year. Probably the most popular ones are gardens –after all, Muszyna is called ‘the Town of Gardens’. There are the Sensory, the Magical, the Ancient and the Biblical ones so everybody will find something for themselves.
The Land of Gentleness by the Złocki Stream
This charming town is so tranquil, so green and quiet, not disturbed by mass tourism that it was hailed as the Land of Gentleness by poets. The villages around Muszyna which used to be inhabited by Lemko people nowadays are nearly forgotten. When Lemko people abandoned this land, they left wooden Orthodox churches, roadside crosses, shrines and falling apart cottages behind. They also left legends, stories, traditions which are gradually disappearing and empty routes along which angels cavort about. They left silence and undisturbed peace. Złockie, a small village, is a place where you will break away from the hustle and bustle staying close to numerous attractions such as:
• historic, wooden churches which are a part of the Wooden Architecture Route, for instance, the Greek Catholic Parish Church of St James the Younger in Powroźnik which was listed as a UNESCO site,
• numerous tourist trails – both hiking and cycling (e.g. Aquavelo),
• various slopes and ski stations,
• nature reserves.

‘Klimek’ Restaurant serves Polish and European dishes with a regional, elegant touch which inspires with flavours and aromas. We will eat either oscypek (sheep cheese) or caviar there. Breakfast, dinner or supper in the restaurant is a true feast. The chef prepares dishes from natural, regional, healthy products. Trouts from
a mountain creek, juicy mutton, colourful vegetables, heavenly cheeses and sweet fruit enchant with their amazing flavours. There is a special kids’ menu. Delicious desserts and ideally selected wines compliment the whole feast. It is possible to order a tasty cake in the hotel.
