On the border between the Beskids
Tylicz is a small village about 10 km from Krynica-Zdrój. It lies on the border between the Beskid Sądecki and the Low Beskids in a beautiful, green, surrounded by the mountains area. The village is located in a small valley at 575-585 m, at the confluence of the Mochnaczka and Muszynka Streams. Łan Mountain (742 m) from the east, Szubienica (695 m) from the south and Szwarcowa (795 m) from the west rise over Tylicz. Crystal clear water, mountain air and incredible treasures of nature are only
a few reasons why one should visit the place for a summer or winter family holiday. Tylicz is a perfect spot for amateurs of active leisure but also for those who long for tranquillity and want to calm down through the contact with nature. There, nature in its pure form is at your fingertips as Tylicz lies within Poprad Landscape Park. In winter the village is covered with snow and looks magical. Enthusiasts of skiing, both alpine and cross-country, come to Tylicz to take advantage of great slopes and runs.
Family skiing in a winter village
Due to great conditions for active leisure, in winter Tylicz transforms into a skiing village for families. Well-developed accommodation facilities and well-prepared slopes give us a possibility to combine winter craze with relaxation in peace and quiet. Master-Ski Centre is located in the very centre of this winter village. It is a state-of-theart station which offers 4- and 6-person chair lifts, two platter lifts with a length of 500m and 600m or a training lift with a length of 150 m. Those who begin their adventure with winter sports can use a carpet lift or Baby
Ski for the smallest ones. The station offers more than a dozen runs of various length and difficulty including two pistes. The ones more interested in extreme winter sports and effective tricks will be delighted to find a snow park with obstacles. All the runs are snowed and groomed which ensures great conditions every day. The station is lit till late which enables us to enjoy snow for a longer time. Additionally, the centre offers a car park free of charge for cars and coaches.
The first step is the most difficult one
It is always worth trying something which can transform into a lifelong passion. Well-qualified instructors – young, full of energy – wait for eager guests. They want to teach
them everything they know and instil passion for winter fun in them. The skiing school also aims at experienced skiers who want to perfect their skiing technique.
Mini Master Skiing Kindergarten
It is said that a learning process is the most effective at an early age so passion for sports should be instilled as early as possible. Moreover, it is said that unless you master a skill at an early age, it will be difficult to do it when you are older. That is why Mini Master Skiing Kindergarten
is aimed at children between 5 and 12 years old. The programme is adjusted to the skills of trainees and their level of proficiency – beginner, intermediate or advanced. The school promotes play-centred learning.
Equipment on the alert, storage and transportation services free of charge
If you do not have your own equipment, do not worry. Everyone can do winter sports after a visit to a rental located at Master-Ski Station. It offers skiing and snowboarding equipment of various sizes and technical parameters. All the skis and snowboards undergo a regular service so if you decide to rent the equipment, you are sure it is reliable. Servicing is available to all
guests – well-qualified and experienced staff will lubricate, sharpen, grind edges of your equipment, adjust bindings, saturate the base or repair your skis or snowboard. Additional advantage is free storage for guests. What is more, there is a free-of-charge ski bus which runs in the area of Tylicz, Krynica or Muszyna and can transport 4-8 passengers.
Relaxation to the rhythm of Highlander music
After a day spent on a slope, skiers can rest in a cosy regional restaurant which serves either simple classical dishes or grilled delicacies. A homely atmosphere,
burning fire, Highlander music and decor will make you feel cosy. Additionally, on every Wednesday a feast by the fire with a Highlander band is organised.
Cross-country skiing and ice-skating
Picturesque views, peace and quiet of Tylicz encourage us to take advantage of cross-country skiing trails. Beginners or intermediate skiers can choose 2.5 km or 4 km routes which are prepared in Osada Turystyczna Domki w Lesie (‘Huts in the Forest’ Tourist Settlement). Those more advanced can hit the trail from Tylicz to the top of
Parkowa Mountain which is 12 km long and has steep ascends. The trails are regularly groomed. What is more, a modern rental, a service point and the only cross-country skiing school await cross-country skiers. If, however, you need a change, visit the open-air ice-rink in Tylicz which is located close to the historic Square.
