Khwai Tented Camp

De Hoop Collection

The newly rebuilt Khwai Tented Camp, completed in October 2015, includes a neighboring family-focused camp, with two separate main areas overlooking a lagoon feeding into the Khwai River. As one of the most consistent wildlife areas of Botswana year round, Khwai offers exceptional wildlife encounters particularly of wild dog and leopard, as well as cultural excursions to the local village.

Conservation

De Hoop is a superb stopover on the Garden Route between Cape Town and Knysna. The 88,957 acre De Hoop Nature Reserve, a World Heritage-listed site in the Overberg region near the southern tip of Africa, is only a three-hour drive from Cape Town. This is a treasure trove of natural beauty, including its marine protected area – one of the largest in Africa. It is characterized by rich biodiversity and rare species of fynbos plants that lead down to an unspoiled coastline with beaches ideal for private lazing, picnics and swimming. Guests enjoy catered or self-catering cottages providing comfort and luxury, world-class land-based whale watching in season, and guided activities.

It is magical to travel amid endangered species like the Cape leopard, black rhino or African elephant. Now, you can help preserve them. It is often said that simply by going on safari we are helping protect the wildlife we see, but now we can do even more. Travel with local scientists in the field and absorb their passion for the land.

Singita Sabi Sand

Singita Kruger National Park

– A thrilling wildlife experience in the heart of "Big Five" territory

– Creating and maintaining a balance between conservation, community development, and ecotourism

Set against an idyllic bushveld landscape in the game-rich Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, Singita's founding lodges, Singita Ebony and Singita Boulders, embody a quintessentially African sense of style. Committed to preserving and sharing some of Africa's most pristine ecosystems, Singita has an enduring vision: to balance large-scale conservation, communitybuilding and sophisticated hospitality. Led by experienced field guides and game trackers, you may wish to participate in early morning and evening spotlit game drives in an open Land Rover. Later, in the Singita Boutique and Gallery, find beautiful keepsakes of your memorable safari. Map ref: 13

The lodges, Singita Lebombo and Sweni, have been built with this mission in mind and both integrate the "touch the earth lightly" philosophy into every aspect of their daily operations. Singita Lebombo and Sweni Lodges lie in the southeastern reaches of the Kruger National Park, on South Africa’s border with Mozambique. Situated on 33,000 acres, Singita’s concession is an isolated piece of pristine wilderness where a unique wildlife population thrives across four distinct ecological-zones. This area is especially well-known for the remarkable concentration of the "Big Five" and four particularly formidable lion prides. Map ref: 14
