Serengeti Safari Camp was designed to follow the wildebeest migration through the Serengeti National Park. Each year, this little camp casts off and begins its own odyssey, moving every couple of months along a route that the herds have traveled for hundreds of years. It delivers a superlative experience of extraordinary wildlife, without damaging the inspiring landscape.
In an iconic location overlooking the Serengeti in Tanzania, discover Lamai Serengeti, tucked among the rocks of Kogakuria Kopje. Admire vast landscapes, not far from where wildebeest cross the Mara River. Between July and October, you will find the great migration on your doorstep but fantastic resident game and bird life abounds year round.
The intimate camp is effortlessly comfortable. It offers just six large walk-in Meru tents, each with a dressing area and an ensuite bathroom. The main dining tent is a place to gather and swap safari tales, with a fireplace in front and a separate library and bar tent nearby.
At Lamai Serengeti, 12 open-fronted rooms are carefully positioned for maximum wildlife exposure and minimum eco-footprint. Cleverly constructed using locally sourced plaster and wood poles, these beautifully equipped units provide guests with a superb wilderness experience, and some of the best views over the Serengeti from the verandas.
