Norman Carr Safaris – Kakuli Camp Kakuli, meaning "old buffalo bull", was conservationist Norman Carr’s local nickname. Run by Norman Carr Safaris, Kakuli is open in the "Secret Season" from January to April – when guests can experience walking and boating safaris – as well as from May to early November. Norman Carr Safaris – Mchenja Camp Mchenja has been described as one of the most luxurious and romantic bush camps in Zambia. The five specially designed tents with roll-top baths and outdoor showers are strung along the Luangwa River, and all rooms have spectacular views.
