Our goal was to design a space that incorporates classical greek and roman architecture and respects the ideals of the life cycle. We wanted a functional and sustainable space and we have taken into consideration the cold temperatures of Seattle, the constant rainy days and the upcoming climate change. We focused on the connection between indoor and outdoor because we wanted to join the developing dwelling unit and the main house, but to combine also nature to interior spaces.

We spent the biggest part of our day indoors so why live in a space that doesn’t make us feel amazingly beautiful.

The goal of this project was to transform an existing space into a place where people will find peace and calmness in the chaos of everyday life.

There is a play with the black and white tones in the living room area, while in the bedroom the natural elements create a cozy atmosphere ideal for relaxation. There are two different versions of the same bedroom. The right one has sharped lines that remind us of a minimal aesthetic while in the left one the textures and the curved edges create a friendly and welcoming space.

Personal projects

SOFTWARES | Revit & 3ds Max V- ray rendering

Bathrooms often get the reputation for being one of the least stylish rooms of the entire home. So my intention was to create an ergonomic bathroom that combines the essential technical necessities of the bathroom with the aesthetic and practical requirements of the user. My goal was to create a bathroom that can withstand time and trends. The space planning, including the most suitable positions for the sanitaryware and fixtures, was my first priority.

HOUSE RENDERING & MODELING 2020

MY MISSION In this project I was responsible to create a 3D realistic visual result for our clients. This helped them to feel safe and undestand better how the final result is going to look like. The model was a tool that I created to make them feel their new house and realize the size of the spaces. SOFTWARES | Revit & 3ds Max V- ray rendering, Photoshop

THE TREE OF LIFE CO-HOUSING 2020

Academic 05

ABSTRACT The building complex “The tree life co-housing”, is located in the city of Xanthi, in Greece. The study area could be characterized as a strategic location, as it is located very close to the heart of the city .

Students Date Course Professors Institution

Athanasiadou Korina (Kyriaki) & Sougkouroglou Anna October 2020 Diploma thesis Polychronopoulos D. , Grigoriadou M. , Giouzepas D. Department of Architectural Engineering, DUTH

The original idea for the student and senior mixed group was “born” as a need for a new proposal in order to “activate” both students and the elderly in a daily form of coexistence and interaction.

The selected uses concern housing, culture and education. Equally main concern was to respect the environment and thus there has been an effort to adhere to some basic principles of bioclimatic design. The complex is developed in two main axes and includes 41 rooms which are developed on two levels and independent loft.

The building volumes in total are developed in four levels: basement, ground floor, A and B floor. The main idea of the architectural design is characterized by the separation of the main volume into two main units that develop dialogue with each other and between them is spread the core - heart of the complex , creating a focal point of meeting and socialization.
