The riverside of the canal has wetland-like characteristics, which makes it an ideal site for water absorption during the rainy season. During the summer season, the area adapts to become a wetland. To address the unpredictable water levels, floating structures are utilized to enhance the area’s resilience. The project’s design is not limited to the base area alone, but it also provides a natural experience that captures the essence of the site.

The development of the riverfront area of Kanong Phra Temple has been intended for use as a public space and to protect the river bank from erosion. The temple itself has a rich historical background, dating back 200 years and featuring a windmill that has become an iconic symbol of the area. The local people often use the temple and surrounding areas as a marketplace and community gathering space. The project was designed to showcase the identity of Kanong Phra and provide a recreational space for visitors and local people.
