As expected, Cassie Henderson was a huge hit at the Hororata Village Bar and Café’s birthday celebration last weekend. It was a real treat for local children to be inspired by wonderful talent such as Cassie, (who was fifth in the recent X Factor NZ competition), as well as local Whi tecli ffs s ing er, A s h y Batchelor. Ashy has recently returned from the World Performing Arts Championships in Los Angeles, with a total of six bronze medals! “Both of these performers are just fourteen years old, and what a privilege it was to have them perform for us here at the Hororata Village Bar and Café,” commented Jason, the owner operator of the successful Café. In addition, good ol’ rockers, ‘Farenheit' from Kirwee brought the house down with their rendition of ’Ain’t No Sunshine’, and Stevie Wonder’s ’Very Superstitious’, among other hits. This band is new on the music ci r cui t, but w ell experienced when it comes to entertaining, and they were supported b y ‘B eautiful Christchurch’ singer Tor.
