boys kicking and blocking at a frantic pace, it only lasted a few seconds for the winning point, but for those watching it seemed like an age! The result was Bronze for Connor with Caelum missing out on a medal. Fourteen year old Kyla, Kyla the Club’s junior Black belt and fifteen year old Ander both excelled and won Gold medals. 43 year old Paul, Paul in his first tournament, won through to the final only to discover he was up
against a mountain of a man from the West Coast. It was a gallant effort from Paul and one which gained him a very well deserved Silver medal. The Club’s next competition is in Blenheim at the end of October, but before then they will continue their training sessions at Clearview Primary School’s h all each M ond ay an d Wednesday.
