Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase What a wonderful story to read over the Holiday Season. I really enjoyed this tender love story. It's about a vampire prince awakening after 1000 years of sleep, only to be greeted by his royal brothers, including the King, who realize he is totally unprepared for modern life. The King hires an 18 year old girl, dying of leukemia, to help him adapt and learn about modern life. They unexpectedly fall in love as her disease worsens. As she's facing death at Christmas time, their love brings about a miracle, and I won't spoil the ending, BUT YOU WILL LOVE IT!! A truly wonderful and inspiring story!!

A powerful vampire family, juxaposed with a young human who is powerless from illness and largely without family support. A vampire depressed because he is immortal, and a heroine flickering on the edge of her own immortality. In many ways Arthur and Annalise are classic ill-fated lovers, he's full of the past and the future, she only has today. I love the details of the story, the way her job is to teach him about everything he needs to be caught up on from the last 1000 years which makes you look at everything from malls and elevators and "phones with intelligence" to Christmas traditions from an interesting point of view. Annalise's kindness and fragility inspire a lifeforce healing in Arthur. The fall in a tender, hopeless love full of obstacles (including other interesting characters) that feels hopeful and full of grace at the same time. I really liked the way the story moves forward, with the way you find yourself rooting for this romance, and with the way the pageturning pull builds the tension. All in a all a charmer of a paranormal romance.

I love paranormal romance. It is probably my favorite genre. And this was a good paranormal romance. The characters in this book were very loveable. I really felt bad for Annalise's condition, and wanted so much for Arthur to be happy again. I was scared every time Annalise got really bad, and so happy at the end. I won't tell you how it ended, but I will tell you it was really good. Overall, this was a really great read that I was able to finish in one day. i would recommend it to anyone who likes this genre.

November 17, 2013 By Addy Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase I must say that I love this heartwarming story and finds little to no fault with it. I was simply glued to the book till I devoured the whole book. The prose is very well written, the dialogues are superb and the story plot is original. I really love the character development and the story progression throughout the whole book. Although the characters aren’t entirely human, you can still feel them facing challenges like any human would. Their emotion is very real and readers can relate to it. This is a great vampire romance novel that you will enjoy reading. It was fun to read and a pleasure to recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. The story really picks up some momentum after the first few pages. I really loved the story line of this story, and it is definitely in for the Christmas season. The characters were vividly depicted through beautifully crafted expositions and you can clearly see developing relationships between characters. I nearly began crying out of sadness and joy at the end of this book. Without spoiling too much, this story is about understanding love and is one of my few heart-warming reads this year. I highly recommend this to anyone who is into vampire romance stories.
