August 12, 2012 By Tara Wood Format:Kindle Edition This story was absolutely amazing. I would have read it in one go if the battery on my tablet would have lasted. I didn't really know what to expect as it sounded so different from anything I have read before. I was able to read a sneak peek somewhere on a blog, and it had me hooked. So much so that I had a sticky note on my monitor with the release date. Rone's story is incredible. I was not disappointed. This was dark and gritty and utterly satisfying. Rone is the perfect Byronic hero, beautiful but damned, and Sheeku is a breeze, so sweet and fresh and just what he needs. The mystery surrounding her is captivating and the reader is drawn into Rone's fascination with her. It sucks you in from the first page and refuses to let go. There is no lull in this story; it moves well. Ms. Boone draws the reader in deep into Rone's head and we see and feel everything he does with a depth that is artfully crafted. There is a push and pull here on several layers, and the conflict and tension ends up being ultimately rewarding. An extremely well-written book with an engaging plot and a hero with such a different voice. I can't wait for the next book. I found myself craving answers to so many questions brought about by the information given in the first two chapters alone.
As I excitedly gobbled up chapter after chapter, I was drawn in and hooked by an amazing story that I wanted more of. I have said it before in other reviews but it bears saying again in this review...this shows an incredible talent and gift of an author. To be able to entice the reader to keep reading and want more of what an author is offering is truly a talent. Azure Boone has that incredible talent. She weaves an amazing erotic story of two characters. Sheeku is a beautiful, innocent appearing Asian girl who has many secrets buried deep within her fears. Rone is a well built, handsome all American male who has a secret of his own. Rone watches her one night as he comes to her rescue from a drugged-out scumball. Rone uses his demon's power to fight his battle but suddenly finds that his China Doll eases his anger mysteriously. Rone discovers that he must protect Sheeku from any and all things that would pose a threat to her and so he takes her home. Here begins an awesomely erotic love story between these two characters as they discover secrets, battle fears, and delve into tempting and forbidding pleasures. I loved this story and can't wait for the next book in this series.

Biography I'm a mother of nine children and a wife of twenty-two years. I sort of accidentally stumbled into writing. It was inspired by a need for money for the most part, and I thought, how hard can it be? Well, three years worth of serious learning hard. It's been four years I believe since I first began, and I'm still learning all the time. The biggest surprise about writing, for me, was how much I fell in love with it. I don't think I can write any story without a romance, however. I've tried, feels incomplete both inside my mind and on paper. I'm Cinderella all the way. People ask me how I find time to write with so many children. I always say, "If it weren't for all these children, I'd never have time to write." LOL. Ironic, isn't it? I've learned to adapt our lives to my profession and passion in hopes to offer a little financial relief to my husband who has carried the load faithfully for so long.
