editor's note Fall is in full swing. It's almost the end of 2020. I can hardly believe that this year is coming to a close. Talk about being thankful and grateful! This year has been a roller coaster of a ride. Imagine that you were back in the year 2015. If someone had asked you to think about your life five years from then, I am willing to bet that absolutely NOONE ever had the slightest idea what our 2020 reality would be. I am almost afraid to say (out loud) that I'm looking forward to the new year. While we will all welcome the change and anticipate a brighter, safer, and healthier new year, the phrase "next year will be better" has taken on a whole new meaning! This year has held so much sorrow, grief, and uncertainty for so many people, there is also a sense of unease that we have not seen the worst of it. This month, we are focusing on gratitude. With so much going on in our world right now, this is the perfect time to reflect on things we are grateful for. Let me start by saying that I am grateful for each one of you. The support that our team has received from the planner community is immeasurable. Creating this magazine each month takes an awful lot of work, but the encouragement that we feel makes this all worth it. So I say "Thank you!" for continuing to turn the page! I am most grateful for the best team I could have ever asked for. Everywhere I look, I see the personal growth of my team. Shauna has been planning out the next steps for the magazine (you're gonna love it - details coming soon). Monique (IG: The May Flow) has started her own business. Deatrice (IG: Deeplannerbabe) has become a major influencer on social media. Tomeca (IG: CheasyPlannign) has taken on more social media accounts to help other small businesses grow. Franklin (SergioSavage.co) has become Insta-famous and is showing up in everyone's Instagram live feeds. Not to mention that they have become PR Team reps for some up-and-coming and established planner companies. If you've heard any of the interviews I've done, you know that without them, this magazine would not exist. I couldn't be more proud of them and am grateful that they each decided to take this journey with me. Happy Planning! Keisha Greene Editor In Chief IG: DrinkCoffee.MakeStuff YT: Drink Coffee. Thankful for Memories BY SHAUNA DEVEREUX IG: SHAUNADEVEREUX
For the last seven years or so, my husband and I host our families' annual Thanksgiving dinner at our home. Members of our extended families make the drive to spend a day filled with love, laughter, and lots of great food. This year is different. Maybe some of you are celebrating holidays and birthdays and life's many milestones a little differently, too. It's bittersweet to look at these pictures of one of our celebrations knowing that this year there will be no family photos. It makes one look at life a little differently. Of course, I am grateful that my sister and brother are only a phone call (or a Facetime call) away. However, I am sure that this Thanksgiving will be a little lonelier than years past. It's time like these that make me glad that I am a scrapbooker. Pictured are a few of my favorite photos from a few years ago. As I reminisced over the wonderful moments we all had that day, I decided that they would be perfect to use for the beginning of my
November project of documenting "30 Days of Gratitude" in one of my planners. Family is at the top of my list of things I am grateful for. When I think of all the sadness that families have felt this year, I am reminded that life is so unpredictable. Life is about the moments we share with friends and family. . This year, whenever you can, capture those precious moments. You never know when life will bring about something unexpected.

There is no limit to the way to create and plan out our planning spaces. We can be inspired by others or even motivated by another person's creativity. Whatever the case may be, what's really important is that it is our own and how we feel about our own space.
JULIE IG JULIES_PLANS YT: JULIE'S PLANS Hi, I’m Julie, also known as Julie’s Plans on Instagram and YouTube! I’m married to my husband Jesse of almost 23 years and mom to two kids and two fur babies! I use planning as a creative way to manage everything like family, work and business. I love sharing how I plan and set goals while helping others do the same in a way that works best for them.

My name is Ruth Frost, and my space is inspired by my love of art and a passion for crafts. I have created a space to go to for my peace of mind. As an introvert, I need room that allows me to express myself through my creativity. I’ve always been inspired by Amira @sweet.little.things and look to her content for new fresh ideas. I love the room I’ve created and could easily spend all my time here without ever leaving. I have even been inspired by Amira to create a home decor account.

A Southern Thanksgiving Tradition BY: KEISHA GREENE IG: DRINKCOFFEE.MAKESTUFF
I live in the South...the deep south at that. So let me go ahead and end the argument before you start grocery shopping for your Thanksgiving dinner. Pumpkin spice is for lattes and candles. Sweet potatoes are for Thanksgiving pies! Okay, I'm kidding. Seriously though, in my family, we have always had sweet potato pies as a part of our Thanksgiving menu. I was well into my 30s before I ever had the opportunity to try pumpkin pie. In my mind, the two were always synonymous. In fact, as a child, the pies were my favorite part of our meal. I would always eat just enough so that my mother would consent to allowing us to dive into desert. I would somehow manage to eat at least one of them by myself! If you have never had sweet potato pie, let me suggest you try out this recipe. A lot of people I know won't make it because of the strings that are found in the insides of the potatoes (think yams). However, my mom used a trick that has never failed. I can never remember a time that strings were present after the preparation of the filling. The secret: use a high-powered electric stand mixer. That's it. The consistency will be rich and creamy with no strings every single time!
