myaccount and then you’ll always have quick and easy access to see and update your information. Dominion Senior Living of Johnson City Moving to a new residence can take some time to adjust, but here at Dominion we strive to transform the difficult transition into an opportunity to join our loving family and get involved within the community. Bill and Jo West were initially hesitant to leave their home, but after a while, the move seemed to be the best fit for them. Having been married for almost 50 years, they are nearly inseparable and have a love that is clearly visible to those around them. Since moving to Dominion Bill and Jo continue to contribute to charity organizations by getting involved in the Fall Festival with Girls and Boys Club and making crafts for the Niswonger Children’s Hospital. You can count on Bill to make a joke that will brighten your day, and Jo always adds her warm smile and a helping hand wherever it is needed. Bill and Jo bring their caring hearts and outgoing personalities to Dominion, and we could not be more thankful that they have found our community, a place to call home.

Fitness Tidbits! Exercise over the holidays

Does your eating increase and the activity decrease over the holidays? 10 ways to squeeze in exercise: 1. Instead of searching for the parking spot closest to the door, park further away to get in a short walk. 2. If you are going to the mall, take a quick lap around the mall, window shop first and then purchase what you came for. 3. Take your children and/or grandchildren Christmas caroling around your neighborhood. Or you can chase the active toddlers around the house and feed off their holiday excitement. 4. While watching those Christmas shows on TV, get up and walk around inside your house during the commercial breaks. 5. Make an exercise appointment(s) on your calendar. Try to commit to 3 days per week for 20 minutes each. 6. Try working out 10 minutes for each $10 you spend on holiday shopping. 7. Take a walk in your neighborhood to look at the lights. 8. Look for active holiday events to participate in your area. 9. If you are travelling out of town, check to see if there is a gym available to work out. 10. Buy yourself an early Christmas present of a pedometer. Put it on and track the number of steps you are presently getting each day and try to strive for 10,000 steps a day or at least increase the number of steps each day.
