Foundation News

The 4th Annual “Paddles Up” Pickleball Tournament is November 3, 4 and 5 at MPCC. This tournament is sponsored by the Johnson City Senior Center Foundation as a fundraiser for helping the Johnson City Senior Center and its programs. Don’t know what pickleball is, then this is your chance to see pickleball in action. We want to thank our sponsors for this tournament: Ballad Health, Hennessee Tax and Bookkeeping and Baseline Sports. The Johnson City Senior Center Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization administered by a group of volunteers appointed by City Commission. The Foundation helps to provide supplemental funding for our healthcare coordinator, Jeanne Clarke, RN; funding transport for cultural activities outside of the Tri-Cities area; providing support through the center’s Fellowship program; and providing funding for the Spring Forward for seniors program which provides groceries and household items for low-income seniors in our area. There are many ways you can help our Foundation: making a monetary donation to the Foundation; signing up for the Kroger Rewards program if you shop at Kroger; consider the Foundation in your estate planning; making a donation to the Foundation through your retirement funds or participating in our fundraising events.
