Dive, Ride and Stride! Johnson City Parks and Recreation created a competitive yet playful environment August 19 at the 5th Annual Dive, Ride and Stride Kids Triathlon. More than 100 anxious and brighteyed kids ranging in age from 6-12 began their athletic trials swimming at Legion Street Pool. They exited the pool dripping wet, ran to their waiting bikes and took off down the Tweetsie Trail. The final leg of the journey was made on foot down sidewalks along Legion and Main streets to the finish line.
