We Make Summer Fun! Summer is just around the corner, and the department’s summer camp program has loads of activities in store this year. Parents have choices; they can chose a stay and play camp at either Memorial Park Community Center or Carver Recreation Center that offers a Monday through Friday experience with an early drop-off and late pick-up option that runs from June 5 through July 28. These campers will enjoy meals, field trips, swimming, arts and crafts, games, sports, and fitness activities. In addition, the department’s specialty camps focus on a special interest such as art, nature, specific sports, science, technology, and adventure. They are offered at a variety of times, dates, and places throughout the park system. This year two new Teen Camps are being offered. The Teen Volunteer Camp will give teens the opportunity to venture out into the community and lend a helping hand to several organizations in need. Teen Adventure Quest Camp will provide an unforgettable experience with cave exploring, river rafting, quarry exploration, and building survival shelters. So, if you’re looking for an affordable, safe, and fun experience for your child this year; then check out Parks and Recreation. From ages three to seventeen … we’ve got you covered!
