GREETINGS

What an exciting time to be a Kansas Jayhawk. Our studentathletes, coaches, staff and I greatly appreciate your dedication and on-going support. We could not reach our success in the classroom, on the field of play or have the opportunity to take the Gold overseas without you. With your support, we are not only providing our student-athletes with a world-class education and state-of-the-art facilities for competition, we are showcasing what Kansas has to offer to our collegiate competitors as well as visitors and fans from across the country. We are excited this year will bring the “Rules of Basket Ball” home to KU – as there is no place more fitting to house this legacy. This would not be possible without the support of our generous donors. Together, we continue to make great things happen that will impact generations of Jayhawks for years to come. Rock Chalk

MAR 1 2016 FUND DRIVE BEGINS

OUR MISSION The Williams Education Fund generates financial support for all University of Kansas student-athletes with a responsibility to facilitate, promote, and enhance academic and athletic experiences.

OUR HISTORY The Williams Education Fund was originally founded as the Outland Club by Dick, Skipper and Odd Williams in 1949. In 1973, the Outland Club became known as the Williams Education Fund to honor the Williams family for its commitment to Kansas Athletics.

2016 WILLIAMS FUND GOALS NEW In 2016, the Williams Education Fund has established a goal of raising $19.5 million in support of 500+ student-athletes through the WEF Unrestricted and Scholarship funds. In order to reach this goal, it will take the support of Jayhawks from around the world as we strive to build the Williams Fund to 8,000 members strong.

IN 2016, KANSAS ATHLETICS WILL HAVE AN OPERATING BUDGET OF OVER $83 MILLION. As the cost of education continues to rise, travel and facility costs increase, our need for private support is crucial. This year, one student-athlete may receive up to $78,122 in academic and athletics support. By investing in the Williams Fund, you give Jayhawk student-athletes the opportunity to be champions in the classroom while competing at the highest levels in the sport they love.

FOOTBALL NOT A WILLIAMS FUND MEMBER, BUT WISH TO KEEP YOUR SAME SEATS? Simply join the Williams Fund for as little as $100 and you, too, can keep your seats in Memorial Stadium. For members who decrease level or wish to participate in SelectA-Seat, an appointment will be scheduled this spring.

Active members of the Williams Fund who purchase football season tickets are given first priority to select their seats in Memorial Stadium. For the 2016 season, ticket applications must be submitted by April 15. Select-A-Seat will be held May 9-13 and appointment times are determined based upon Williams Fund priority point rankings. Requesting a tier does not guarantee tickets within that tier and orders will be subject to availability. Actual tier will be determined through Select-A-Seat. All ticket holders will only owe the amount of their final seat location. Should the final seat location not match the original request, an upcharge or refund for the difference in price will be made. NEW KEEP YOUR SAME SEATS AS LAST YEAR! THANK YOU I would like to extend a big thank you to the Williams Fund members who helped and supported me throughout my journey here at the University of Kansas. Becoming a Jayhawk is the best decision I have ever made. With the amazing support of the KU community behind me, it made my experience in Lawrence one to remember. As a student-athlete, I was able to represent the Jayhawks across the country. Competing in meets from New York to Oregon was the experience of a lifetime. Thanks to my coaches, teammates and the academic staff, I was able to reach the highest levels of track and field. During my career, I won four consecutive Big 12 Championships in the 400-meter

hurdles, and I finished my career by capturing the NCAA Championship at historic Hayward Field. My experience as a Jayhawk will always have a special place in my heart. Since graduating from KU, I have stayed in Lawrence to train as I live my dream of competing around the world as a professional runner. Once again, thank you! Everything you have done has enabled me to reach the highest level in the sport of track and field. I’ll be a Jayhawk forever. Rock Chalk!
