Piston Steele Shakedown. Bruce and the crew recently held another amazing charity show at Sandown Racecourse, this time raising money for the gorgeous Trinity and Cerebal Palsy awareness. It even scored a segment on the Channel 7 news! Piston Steele run several shows every year, fundraising for worthwhile members of the community, and to raise awareness for causes such as breast cancer, Very Special Kids, the CFA and Animal Aid. This is a labour of love for Bruce and his daughter Loretta, as they held 7shows and 10 cruises in 2015 alone! We are hoping to be able to attend one of these amazing shows in person later this year, but for those of you lucky enough to be a bit closer to Melbourne than your Editor - GO!

Ballarat Beat rockabilly festival

Report and pix by Nikky Fontana.

Held in Feburary every year, Ballarat Beat is three days of music, dancing, cars and shopping they call a street party. Headlining the musical line up this year was the Kingcats & CC Jerome, with some rockin' tunes from the Atomic HiTones, the Detonators, the Lincolns and many, many more. New this year was a car show sponsored by the Big Bad Wolves themselves,Kingpin Kustoms. Despite the brain melting heat on the Saturday, your Editor spent an amazing day catching up with old and new friends, shopping her heart out and of course, reporting for all of you. (tough gig, but someone has to do it...right?!)

Picnic at Hanging Rock.

Held every February by the Macedon Ranges and District Car Club, this annual celebration of man and machine is one of Australia's largest car shows, numbering entrants in the thousands. With the spectacular backdrop of Hanging Rock and hundreds of acres for parking, it's no wonder this event is a do not miss on many car enthusiast's calender every year.
