There is more than one way to skin a cat, this phrase come to mind when it comes to feeding cattle. A number of years ago we made a few changes with the feeding methods here, we quit creep feeding the calves in the pasture and post weaning we switched to growing the bulls slowly on a TMR ration with the mix wagon. We believe we are getting them ready for breeding in a timely manner in order to extend the life of these bulls for you our valued customers. At the same time, we are building and maintaining a herd of easy doing productive females. We rely primarily on the milking of the mothers and the gain ability genetics of the Charolais cattle. When selecting herd sires here we have strived to select a good balance of all the traits desired in a Charolais bull and we have some outstanding individuals in our bull battery. To complement this, we have also strived to use the Best A.I. sires that our paths cross. As cattlemen we all want unassisted calving, and just as important is vigorous calves that are up and going instantly. Last fall the bulls were weaned much later than usual due to the weather and the condition of our corrals. The bulls are pictured in their working clothes as they will be working for you with the exception of shaving their heads to reveal their skull shape. There are several outstanding individuals that we think very highly of in this pen of bulls. Definitely a pen favorite. This cow was in the 4H program as a calf and a pair and has done a great job on every one of her calves. One of her females was pictured with her 2018 bull calf in last yearâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s catalogue. In 2019 Kamryn showed a daughter of 180B at CCYA and was Reserve Junior Champion at Ag Ex in Brandon. We included a past pic of the Dam because she cycled just before we pictured for the catalogue.

A bull we added to the A.I. program, Chive On’s sire Chavez has done a superior job at Springside Farms siring both great bulls and industry leading females. Chive On works for two purebred herds in Alberta, Circle CEE Charolais and Roger Beaudin, who we shared ownership with Syndicated 138P a number of years ago. This was also a deciding factor as we knew the quality of bull it takes to travel the distance and breed cows at two ranches every year.

Have probably never been as unsure of anything in our lives as we offer this mare for sale. Kamryn fell in love with this horse the first time we went to Buchananâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s and tried her out and the rest is history. The prize list is quite long with this horse over the years, ranging from cash to buckles and two trophy saddles, the last one for first in the 2D at the MBRA finals in 2018. Stealer is consistent to say the least and runs in 2D or 1D very competitively. This has been Gregâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s go to horse during A.I season in the mud. Her cow instinct is second to none when cutting and sorting, truly a pleasure to work cattle off of! Good footed and sound. TERMS & CONDITIONS TERMS The terms of the sale are cash, cheque, VISA, MasterCard, payable at par at sale location. There will be a 3% administration fee on all VISA or MasterCard purchases applied to the buyer’s invoice. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Should any purchaser fail to settle for his purchase Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. BID Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No private sales will be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. SALES TAXES Applicable sales taxes will be charged on semen, embryos and trucking fees (if listed), respective to the home province of the buyer, not the seller. DISPUTES In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final. PURCHASER’S RISK Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.
