2022 Mount Michael Central 4 – 8 April Alexandra, Arrowtown, Cromwell, Queenstown, Wanaka Five great courses mixed with one of Central Otago’s most aspiring wine producers Mount Michael!. 2022 will be the tournament’s 14th year, continuing as one of the country’s largest multi-course amateur golf tournaments. Five days single stableford competition along with a team challenge. Open to men and women, aged 20+, with maximum handicaps of 32 for men / 36 for women. Just $375 and you’re there! Copthorne Hotel & Apartment packages are available from the tournament’s long-term accommodation partner. Competition Format The competition format is individual stableford, with daily and overall prizes for both men and women by equitable handicap divisions. For low markers there will be an overall men’s and women’s gross prize awarded. The competition also includes a team’s event (four golfers), with the team score being best 3 stableford scores each day culminating over all five rounds. There are three team divisions, men’s, women’s and mixed.

An extensive daily and overall prize list valued at more than $25,000. Final Prize Giving Function The final function with prize giving will be held in Queenstown at the Millennium Ballroom (Capacity 500) on Friday 8th April 2022. This includes a two-course dinner and a complimentary glass of wine, cash bar thereafter. NZD$40 for players and NZD$50 for any partners who wish to attend.

2022 Golf NZ Women’s Autumn Foursomes 28 – 30 March

Entries open ladies, for the 2022 Golf NZ Women’s Autumn Foursomes. The beautiful Fairview Golf & Country Club is situated between the sheltering Kaimai Ranges and the beautiful Tauranga Harbour. The course is only a couple of minutes from thriving Katikati’s hub of amenities in the sunny Bay of Plenty. There’s a fully-developed, quality 18-hole golf course and an inclusive Country Club with café, indoor and outdoor bar, health studio, indoor pool and spa complex, barbecue and petanque area and tennis courts. What more could we want for competing in a national Golf NZ tournament, fun but competitive foursomes match play!
Competition Format The format of the tournament has been the same for some years, with a 64 pair random draw published for round one, with multiple flights and plates following for rounds 2-5. Winners after five rounds go onto their respective finals on Wednesday afternoon. The winners receive the NZLGU Foursomes Cup’s and the first round Cromwell losers compete for the NZLGU Salvers. The 2022 tournament will be the 86th Women’s Autumn Foursomes. The first 64 paid pairs will be accepted with a waiting list in operation for any additional players. The tournament is managed by PaR nz Limited t/as PaR nz Golfing Holidays under the auspices of Golf NZ Inc.
