Drama, Theatre and Dance | Music Here at York St John University we encourage creativity. Your ideas can develop and ignite new opportunities and that excites us. We want you to explore these ideas, try new things and experiment. Immerse yourself in your art and become a performer, dancer, composer or theatre maker. From working on placement in industry, local schools or with our partnership in regional women’s prisons, our creative practice benefits the society we live in. Collaborating helps build new ideas and inspiring projects. So we encourage you to work together with students from other courses and the wider community. It’s all about being part of something bigger and making change happen.
Access state-of-the-art performance spaces and receive support from our experienced lecturers and specialist technicians. They can help you turn your ideas into reality. Our new Creative Centre will include a 200+ seat auditorium with stunning views of York Minster. Our approach to performance is about preparing you for a life working in the arts. When you graduate you will be ready to become a professional in your field. Your time with us will have provided the skills, attitude and network you need to succeed.
