La Casita Cultural Center, a program of the College of Arts & Sciences at Syracuse University, presents its 2nd edition of MUSA, a multilingual publication featuring eight new voices, inspired and restless, all part of an experiment in plural and wide open spaces for expression. This editorial project is part of a larger initiative, La Casita’s DIVERSITY IN READING annual campaign to raise awareness and support for the center’s Bilingual Library and literacy programs. We recognize the vital role of La Casita’s Bilingual Library beyond the support of language learning and enjoyment of reading, much more as provider of a rich cultural immersion experience. The library also hosts a Cultural Memory Archive dedicated to preserving the history of our Hispanic communities of Syracuse and Central New York. Ours is a small library with plenty of room to grow, like these new voices raising up through the pages of MUSA.
