La Casita Cultural Center at Syracuse University presents a curious collection of texts in its first edition of MUSA, a multilingual publication that gathers surprising voices from the S.U. community of students, faculty, staff and alumni. MUSA was created to simply open a space for a plural and experimental verbal expression. This editorial project is part of an initiative to raise awareness about vital role of La Casita's Bilingual Library and bilingual education programs. This library hosts a growing collection of unusual books by important writers, scholars and journalists in the Hispanic world, a collection of bilingual children's books and a digital archive to preserve the cultural memory and history of our Hispanic communities of Syracuse and Central New York. It is a young library with room to grow, much like the diverse voices expressing themselves through the pages of MUSA.
