A CASITA CULTURAL CENTER PRESENTS ART WORKS CREATED BY LOCAL YOUTHS IN THE UPCOMING SHOW: YOUNG ART 2014
The event will showcase works created by children from La Casita’s Bilingual Reading Circles, an after-school program offered in collaboration with the Spanish Action League of Upstate NY. The program focuses on the development of reading skills, combined with creative projects related to the readings. The exhibit will include a 20’ mural and a significant collection of handmade masks, produced under the guidance and teachings of the Near Westside Initiative’s artist in residence, our own Juan Cruz. La Casita’s Dance Troupe will also perform at the event.
