La Casita Cultural Center announces its annual spring show ARTE JOVEN / YOUNG ART 2017, a showcase of the talents and achievements of youth enrolled in arts education programs including visual & language arts, music and dance, during this academic year.
The exhibit culminates the work of year-round programming offered in partnership between La Casita and Point of Contact Gallery, the Spanish Action League, Celebrate Urban Birds (Cornell's Lab of Ornithology) and the Manos pre-school program at the Seymour Dual Language Academy (Partners in Learning).
This event marks the release of a new bilingual children’s book, written and illustrated by the young participants in La Casita's weekly Reading Circles. The new edition titled Palo: A Chicken Mystery, is the second children’s book released by La Casita.
