To Be In Love…
I
f you want to understand love, to learn it, observe a child. We are born with the love instinct in its purest and most genuine form, undistorted and undamaged. Children bear in themselves the capacity to love and be loved, to express their emotions freely, unguarded, unashamed. A child never thinks before saying ‘I love you’ or giving hugs. We are born full of love, with total capability of expressing it, until we suffer our very first heartbreak.
Heartbreaks change us, they change our perception of love. Every time we get heartbroken, we become skeptical of the whole notion of love, we question its impact on us. Every heartbreak holds us back; it forces us to suppress our emotions and to keep our guards up every time we begin to feel our heart beating for someone again. When we walk out of a relationship that has caused us damage, we are burdened with emotional baggage and we begin to project all our insecurities on our partners. We end up behaving uncharacteristically of who we are, holding ourselves back from expressing our real feelings and the depth of love we have out of fear of yet another heartbreak. A heartbreak following another, a disappointment following the other, and then one day our capacity to love is never the same. Love is pure, beautiful, fragile, innocent, and unmasked, just like a child. Love is to let all your guards down, to let yourself all in, to reveal your innermost self and express your feelings unashamed, anytime. Love is to let loose of all the fears that hold you back from pouring your heart out. Like a child, love needs nurturing, protection, care, and daily work to watch it grow in its healthiest forms. Love can take no recklessness nor neglect. Love is never hurtful, cruel or wounding. Love is kind; it does us no harm. Just like a child, love is pure, real, and unmasked and this is the type of love we all need.

Whether red lipstick is your timeless classic go-to on almost every occasion, or prefer more subtle and nude looks, here are tips to follow to master your romantic date nights and Valentine’s Day makeup look. For a makeup look that is soft, glammed up and steering away from red lipstick, here’s what you can do: Try soft smokey eyes paired with nude pink creamy lips. This look can really give off seductive vibes. Go for bare eyes with lots of mascara or false lashes with pink cheeks and lips, it’s the right look that speaks soft romance. So, if you choose to wear red lipstick, follow these expert tips for flawless red lips. 1. First and most important step is exfoliating. If your lips are dry it tends to show more when you wear dark lipstick shades and especially red. Using lip scrubs will buff away all the dead cells and will leave your lips hydrated and looking smooth. 2. Always use lip primer before applying red lipstick. Though it’s a step that many skip, using lip primer is essential to make your lipstick last longer and prevent it from fading or smudging. 3. Apply lip liner all over the lips. Not only will your lips look more defined, but lip liners also act as a starting layer of a priming color for your lipstick. 1. Wood - The use of wood in the space can really make a space cozier, even if paired with colder elements. Wood or timber is a magic element for coziness with its natural appearance of texture and color. 2. Natural light - Natural light is an element of warmth. Having natural light in the space is definitely a cozy feature. 3. Ambient light - ambient light is key for a cozy emotion in a space. Cove lights could set a mood that will set a chill state of mind. It is an indirect light in design, just like a candle light at dinner. 4. HEARTY SOUPS FOR WINTER Tomato Basil Soup: Ingredients • 1 tablespoon oil • 1 onion, chopped • 1 stalk celery, chopped • 3 cloves garlic, minced • 1 teaspoon salt • ¼ teaspoon pepper • 2 tablespoons tomato paste • ¼ cup fresh basil (10 g) • 28 oz crushed tomato (795 g), 2 cans • 6 cups vegetable broth (1 ½ L) • ½ teaspoon baking soda • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
Instructions 1. Combine oil, onion, celery, and garlic over medium heat in a large pot. Sauté for 3 minutes until onions are translucent. 2. Add salt, pepper, tomato paste, basil, crushed tomatoes, broth, baking soda, and thyme. Bring to a boil. 3. Lower heat and cover, simmering for 15 minutes 4. Uncover and remove thyme. 5. Use an immersion or countertop blender to blend the soup until smooth. 6. Allow to cool 2 minutes and serve topped with basil 7. Enjoy!
