SPRING-INSPIRED DELIGHTFUL DESSERTS SUGAR COOKIE BUNNIES AND LAMBS INGREDIENTS: • Basic sugar cookie dough • Bunny and lamb cookie cutters • Royal icing • Black and pink gel food coloring • white nonpareils INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Prepare the cookie dough. Cut out bunnies and lambs and bake according to recipe instructions. 2. Prepare the royal icing. Divide among three bowls; tint one pink and one black. Transfer 1⁄3 of the white, 1⁄3 of the pink and all of the black to separate pastry bags fitted with fine tips. Use a few drops of water to thin the pink and white icing remaining in the bowls for flooding and place each in separate resealable plastic bags; snip off a tiny corner of each bag. 3. Using the thicker icing, outline each cookie, then fill using the thinner flooding icing. For the lambs, sprinkle body with nonpareils while the icing is still wet. For the bunnies, let icing dry completely, then pipe icing tails and sprinkle with nonpareils while still wet. Use the thick white, pink and black icing to pipe on faces and other details.

MERINGUE POPS INGREDIENTS: • 4 large egg whites • 1 cup of sugar • Pinch kosher salt • Pink, yellow, and blue gel food coloring INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Heat oven to 200°F. Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper. In a medium saucepan, bring 1 inch water to a boil; turn off heat. In the large bowl of an electric mixer resting over the saucepan, whisk together by hand egg whites, sugar, and salt until sugar dissolves (you should no longer feel grains when you rub mixture between two fingers), 2 to 4 minutes. 2. Transfer the bowl to an electric mixer with the whisk attachment and beat on medium-high until mixture cools and medium-stiff peaks form, 6 to 8 minutes. Divide mixture between 3 bowls and
tint each with 1 drop food coloring, folding into meringue so as not to deflate (some streaks are okay). 3. Fit 2 large piping bags with large star tips. Lay 2 large pieces of plastic wrap on a work surface. In the center, spoon colored meringue mixtures into 3 side-by-side lines, each about 1 in. wide. Wrap up in the plastic wrap and transfer into prepared piping bags. Working 1 at a time, leaving at least 2 in. space in between, pipe meringues, starting in the center and working your way out to make 3-in. circles. 4. Gently slide 8-in.-long thin craft stick into each meringue. Bake, rotating trays after 1 hour, until dry and crisp and meringues easily pull away from parchment paper, 1½ to 2 hours. Turn off oven, prop open door, and let meringues cool inside.

Here are some warning signs you ought to bear in mind: • It always feels like a competition: When they are around you, you always feel like there is some challenge going on in the background sometimes it passes by easily and at others it’s too loud, contagious and energy consuming. We urge you not to fall for this trap as this competition is a pointless waste of time! • You don’t like who you are around them: It feels like you put a whole lot of extra effort to fit into a mold they have precast for you. They may even pressure you to do or say things that are far away from who you truly are or even want to be. • They don’t want to share you with others: toxic friends tend to get jealous when you are around other close friends; this is why they usually try to keep you away from others and don’t miss a moment at bringing their flaws to the spot light for you to be discouraged to even hang out with them. • You cannot trust them or their advice: you may feel like they are trying to manipulate you in some way for their own benefit and according to their own mood. Whenever a woman behaves in a different manner or challenges these rules and standards she is stigmatized even by her fellow gender mates who share the same problems. • Internet and the media have made things worse by idolizing certain ways a woman should look, walk or talk and have indeed turned their life goals into more of a race or a competition of who’s doing it better or living it better. • Survival instincts 101: survival of the fittest has been a motto to live from the dawn of this earth between different species and unfortunately it is not that different when it comes to humans especially women. The basic ugly truth is that it seems like women under all these pressures have been made to believe that they are competing for the same resources and that one reason turns them against each other yet there is a way to be able to co-exist without feeling like a fierce rivalry is happening.

Luckily, not so long ago, we became more aware that there’s so much to women than how they look. If anything, it is in fact degrading that a woman’s value is to be measured based upon her looks alone. The world is a difficult place, and to survive you need to be a strong woman who believes in the power of a strong mind and a deep character, and it takes a strong mother to raise a strong daughter. Mothers are our first role model, the ones we look up to, the ones who play a vital role in who we grow up into, and yes a mother can shape an entire girl’s life. Jean-Sim Ashman is an Egyptian-American poet and scriptwriter based in California. Jean-Sim Ashman wrote and published her first book, Cathartic Pillow Talk, in August 2019. Cathartic Pillow Talk features a collection of poems from Ashman’s yesteryears. Not intended for the eyes of anyone but her own, Ashman dove headfirst into a pool of unchartered waters, and decided to publish her work. Cathartic Pillow Talk features poems that are raw, edgy, and witty. For those capable of looking past the skin’s surface, you will find everything from heartbreak to current affairs laced in the diction. Prior to publishing her book, Jean-Sim Ashman wrote and co-directed a short film for an international film festival. Shortly after her success at the film festival, Ashman assisted and worked on major Hollywood films, including The Star and Ralph Breaks the Internet.

Achieves Increased Unit Sales For Ninth Consecutive Year And Remains Number One Among Luxury Car Brands
2019 was the ninth consecutive record year for Mercedes-Benz, with growth of 1.3% to a total of 2,339,562 units delivered worldwide. At the same time, Mercedes-Benz maintained its leading position among the luxury car brands for the fourth year in a row. Last year’s model offensive with a total of more than ten new or revised models led to a significant boost in unit sales, particularly of Compact Cars and SUVs, and contributed to the overall sales growth. The Stuttgart-based company with the three-pointed star finished the year with the highest annual unit sales in its history, as well as its best quarter ever (614,319 units, +3.2%). In the fourth quarter of 2019, Mercedes-Benz sold for the first time more than 600,000 cars within a quarter. The SUVs were Mercedes-Benz’s strongest-selling segment in 2019 driven by the new GLC and GLE. The GLC was once again the best-selling SUV in the model portfolio in 2019. The A-Class Saloon and the new B-Class worldwide as well as the new CLA Coupé made significant contributions to the segment’s growth. The best-selling members of the Dream Car family last year were the C-Class Coupé, followed by the CLS Coupé.
