The design is to embed and operationalize the new approach and concepts into our daily activity and culture. The process should work around you and the needs of the business, rather than vice-versa. It is not time-bound, and should be an ongoing and adapting process. It’s designed to be efficient and customizable based on the needs of the individual, manager, and business… so don’t overthink it.
Objectives should incorporate a blended approach, encompassing shortterm, mid-term, and long-term objectives, with appropriate competencies embedded in and critical to success.
It’s about building relationships, and having quality conversations. The design is to promote and drive stronger relationships, regular collaboration, and 2-way communication. We’re taking a forward looking approach, with a focus on active coaching, feedback, and development.
The new framework recognizes that all individuals are unique, and therefore require individually customized and comprehensive feedback to grow and develop. Think more qualitative than quantitative. We want to provide relevant and meaningful feedback. We want to acknowledge, recognize, differentiate and reward individuals for their comprehensive contributions, rather than simply trying to quantify under a single generic label or rating.
* The exception to this rule is when a layout is in a small format, such as a graphic for The Grid or the MISO website. In cases of limited space, division/group logos may be used alone when, even when they do not include the “MISO” name and burst icon. MISO BRANDBOOK | Page 9
