July Recap This past July, us officers attended our first regional training conference at Cleburne High School. In short, it was a very insightful experience in which we learned much about our roles and responsibilities to the club as well as the many new things we plan to implement this year. Key Clubbers get ready for more socials, a monthly newsletter (as you can see), member of the month recognition, and much more!

As the new school year comes up, I’m excited to be leading the Lamar High School Key Club with a fantastic officer team. It is my hope that this year marks a continuation of growth from the past couple of years, but also sets a new trend with a myriad of new opportunities (e.g. attending DCON and making a newsletter). My long term goals this upcoming year include increasing both membership and member activity, having more inter club activities with other local Key Clubs and even Circle K, and to attend the Texas-Oklahoma District Convention. With a new head advisor and having learned from past experiences, I believe that the Lamar Key Club is headed into a wonderful era of exponential growth and prosperity.

“Our mission is to increase funds and awareness for children’s health and other miracle network hospitals.”
“Through The Eliminate Project, Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus—a deadly disease that steals the lives of nearly 34,000 innocent babies and a significant number of women each year.” “March of Dimes leads the fight for the health of all moms and babies. We believe that every baby deserves the best possible start.”
“UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children’s lives, to defend their rights, and to help them fulfil their potential, from early childhood 5 through adolescence.”
Give water. Give life.
663 million people all over the world don’t have access to safe drinking water. The Thirst Project strives to fix this water crisis by building wells for communities in need all over. Thus far, they have been able to travel to 13 countries and build 3,018 wells and other water projects!
