Dr. Steve Rad, MD, FACOG, is an expert specialist in OB-GYN and subspecialist in Maternal and Fetal Medicine/High-Risk Pregnancies. He is a double boardcertified diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has undergone rigorous training with highest honors at renowned institutions.

Dr. Rad completed medical school at the prestigious David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, both residency and fellowship at the renowned Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and additional training at international fetal programs. Dr. Rad was on MFM faculty at the distinguished UCSF Medical Center and Fetal Treatment Center.

Dr. Rad is at the cutting edge of his field and has earned numerous Top Doctor Awards. As an MFM subspecialist, he is among few physicians with specialized training in advanced fetal ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis and treatment, with expertise in early detailed fetal anomaly scan, neuro-sonography, and fetal echocardiography. Dr. Rad is especially passionate about taking care of women with the highest risk and complex pregnancies, often involving complex multidisciplinary care and delivery planning.

Dr. Rad is well published, actively involved in medical societies including Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine and medical research, and loves to teach—he even has his own Ultrasound Academy. Dr. Rad is director of the Los Angeles Fetal and Maternal Care Center with main office location at Cedars-Sinai Medical Office Towers. He is on staff at multiple top medical centers including Cedars-Sinai, Providence Saint John’s, UCLA-Santa Monica, and Providence/ Cedars-Sinai Tarzana.

The center is a unique comprehensive maternal-fetal diagnosis and treatment center. Its boutique style focuses on providing individualized and one-on-one care to women and their families at one of their most important and vulnerable times. The center provides cutting-edge 3D/4D/HD ultrasound technology with expertise in very early detailed fetal anomaly scans starting in the first trimester and focuses on the full spectrum of care from pre-pregnancy through pregnancy, delivery, and beyond.

Dr. Rad cares for women with normal as well as at-risk and high-risk pregnancies. Dr. Rad is unique amongst MFMs in that he also practices obstetrics and does deliveries for his patients. He also provides home visits and at-home full prenatal care. Lastly, the center is excited and anticipating the opening of their rainbow clinic center, one of few in the world, that focuses on women with prior pregnancy losses and stillbirths.
