VIGO, SPAIN
After the heavy wild fires of October 2017 at the Atlantic coast of Portugal and Spain we visited the burnt areas around Vigo three month later. The impressions of walking through the affected areas produced a degree of feelings between beauty and horror. We analysed the area and the special situation of the moment of recreation after the big disaster. During several talks by locals, firemen and administrative professionals we travelled back to Barcelona to develop a territorial proposal to reduce the risk of wildfires in times of global warming.
Part of the project was the wildfire analysis of the territory and de development of a fire reduction proposal to reduce the risk of high density fires to save human and nature.
