Interviewing Silvia Pelucchi
(Former Secretary General of FOSCAMUN 2016) Interviewer: Silvia, you were the head of last year's edition of FOSCAMUN. How do you describe your relations with the other main figures of this event? Former Secretary General: It's been a great team; if we don't consider for a moment the material result of our work, which totally repaid our efforts, I think that we had the opportunity to grow together facing the difficulties that the organisation of such an event involves. I.: And about the relations between foreign and local students? F. S.G.: In addition to what I previously said, the fact that all the delegates are considered at the same level within each delegation is symbolic to understand this atmosphere of continuous collective growth. Each resolution presented by the committees is the demonstration of how a constructive and regulated discussion can lead to a common and efficient solution. I.: Many students take part in FOSCAMUN in different sectors, according to their skills. Independently from the sector, what do you think is the main objective for each participant? F. S.G.: First of all they have to take their own responsibilities and bare in mind that they all play a role that is part of a whole. Everything is interdependent: FOSCAMUN teaches how the actions or the choices made by a single influence often the success or failure of the collectivity. I.: How are interconnected the institutions of the school and the institutions of FOSCAMUN? F. S.G.: Well, FOSCAMUN is part of the school itself: every year students, teachers, the headmaster and the whole school staff put a lot of effort into its organisation, but what difference FOSCAMUN from normal school life is that it is mostly managed and supervised by students. This is at the same time a possibility and a challenge. I.: What do you think about the organisation of this year's edition? F. S.G.: Every FOSCAMUN differs from another one because it represents the people that work behind it. I know that difficulties are always around the corner and there is not a single way to solve them: it is in my opinion amazing that every result reflects the approach of different mentalities. I've seen the work that has been done and I would like to congratulate all the people on the commitment and the devotion to the project. I.: Do you have any advise for the Secretary General of FOSCAMUN 2017? F. S.G.: Enjoy these three days and don't think of anything else! You've worked so much, and I'm sure you'll have the big satisfaction you deserve. There's a sort of tradition, and that's what Secretary General of 2015 last year told me: "We don't really know how, but everything will work!" I.: Thank you very much! F. S.G.: Thank you. Kamil Sanders

It helps students learning to organise and increase responsability in each participant. Why do you participate in FoscaMUN? Because working with students is an awesome opportunity to grow and have fun with different kinds of people. What do you believe is the meaning of these verses? In my opinion Dante meant that it would be beneficial that the new generations were free to think. Aims for the oncoming days? Setting up the church for the Grand Gala.

INTERVIEW TO A CATERING GIRL - What is your task? We serve the commensals during the Coffee Break, buffet, the Gala and the various ceremonies, above all the closing one. - Do you make the food by yourself? No, we don’t. The canteen does. - Describe your work. We set and clear the tables, we bring dishes, food and drinks when they are finished. - And your supervisors? They are all very nice and competent. We’re a good team, we always help one another. - Do you eat the same food of the delegates? Yes, we eat at the buffet like all of you. - Thank you very much. Enjoy your Foscamun! You’re welcome!
HERE WE ARE AGAIN: FOSCAMUN 2017 So here we are again, one year later: the Foscamun 2017 has finally started. The last few weeks had been so intense, the efforts made by everyone who took part in this project prove how much we belive in this MUN and how much we’re involved in it. This incredible journey began this morning in the Church of St.Caterina in which students from all over the world, teachers, and special guests, gathered to take part in the official celebration. The ceremony started as always with the anthems of the different delegations that came here to join us. This year we have the delegations of France, Austria, Mexico, Spain, U.S.A and Lebanon. After that , our Headmaster Massimo Zane , the first one who came to talk, in his speech reminded us that the “MAGIC OF THE MUN” is not just simply the taking part thing but is also a way to create relationships between people that have the same target. The main purpose, said M Zane, is also to form new ideas.
