Rub shoulders with the stars, Ms Dynamite joins Pride, and Pope’s pope portrait
GOOD NEIGHBOURS ut on the market just last week is the ultimate in celebrity homes in Hove with a cool price tag of 4 million pounds! The four bedroom beachfront home is on Millionaires’ Row, the Western Esplanade cul-desac of 11 white Art Deco houses with private beaches at the end of Hove promenade and is a real-life version of the TV comedy Stella Street. The sitcom featured impressionists playing celebrities such as Michael Caine and Keith Richards living as neighbours. But put the rubbish out here in Hove and you could be saying good morning to Oscar and Grammy award-winning singer Adele, Little Britain comedian and novelist David Walliams, DJ Norman Cook and his Strictly Come Dancing wife Zoe
P
righton artist Sara Pope has had quite a week, having her portrait of His Holiness Pope Francis accepted for display in the Vatican. It really couldn’t be more perfect could it? An artist called Pope creating a portrait of the Pope to be hung in the Pope’s house. Sara, who sells her art via Brighton gallery artrepublic and online at www.artrepublic.com will now see her work hung in what is essentially the largest art collections / galleries on the planet, alongside works by masters including Leonardo da Vinci, Titian, Raphael and Michelangelo. Sara trained as a shoe designer and has worked with famous brands including Paul Smith and Lacoste, but changed career just seven years ago to work full time on her art. She painted the portrait of the Pope to commemorate her first solo show in Italy last year and comments; “The walls of the Vatican are covered floor to ceiling in Raphael masterpieces the public doesn’t get to see, which is awe-inducing. To be included in one of the greatest collections in the world makes me extremely proud. I’m not Catholic, nor even religious, but the experience was probably the most emotional and spiritual of my life.” The papal portrait will now be reproduced as a print, which will be sold in aid of charities nominated by His Holiness.

ge might well be a state of mind but nothing pulls that state of mind more sharply into focus than the imminent arrival of my brother’s eldest child, my nephew, my godson. It hardly seems five minutes since we were playing with lego, laughing at meerkats (Ah the heavenly days when I had a real excuse to go to Drusilla’s) and building sand castles on a Cornish beach. Now he is about to graduate from Oxford Brooks after three years studying architecture and will soon be embarking on a career. I remember that stage in my life well. Graphic design was my career back then and I knew that it was what I wanted to do because in those days all art students had the opportunity to do a one year foundation course. Foundation was the best thing that ever happened to me, Oh I knew that I wanted to go to art college, but to study what specialism? That first year gave us all the chance to find out. It gave a few the chance to find out that art school was not for them either. Some rightly chose not to go on, for a variety of reasons. I loved it, I immersed myself in the whole art school experience, dressing wildly, staying up late, working harder than I ever had at school, joining choirs and societies, going onto the college board as a student rep and generally getting stuck in. The Art Foundation Course system was very effective and after that first year I had a much clearer idea of what to do with my life from that point. It also taught me to be fearless. Now there are plans afoot to dispense with foundation courses completely. This means that hapless school leavers

’m thinking of introducing some frogs into the school pond. Here is a picture of some happy ones at the University of Sussex (photograph courtesy of Paolo - my hubbie). For a fleeting moment I thought maybe we could carry out an experiment to show how Michael Faraday explained electric current via a frog battery but then I realised that I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I’ll stick to the potato clock! Of course prior to Faraday, also experimenting on frog legs were Luigi Galvani and Alessandro Volta. Faraday (1791 – 1867) was born into a poor family yet his scientific achievements were so great that Albert Einstein kept a picture of him in his office, along with two other pictures - that of Isaac Newton and James Clerk Maxwell. Maxwell said of Faraday: “Faraday is, and must always remain, the father of the science of electromagnetism”. Faraday was born into an era when only those from privileged backgrounds could afford to study science. Through a stroke of good luck though he gained a job as an

Faraday was a man who used experimentations to make scientific discoveries and he was famous for never giving up on ideas, which came from his scientific intuition. Faraday said: “Nature is our kindest friend and best critic in experimental science if we only allow her intimations to fall unbiased on our minds.” It would be great if we could re-align education with nature and get pupils to spend more time out of the classroom discovering science. I found it particularly alarming the other day to read that the UK’s Chief Medical Officer was ‘ashamed’ to report that rickets has made a comeback. Rickets is related to a vitamin D deficiency and children not spending enough time outdoors. Readers, take note!

ou may not realise it but there are all sorts of interesting and unusual places to visit on the Brighton & Hove bus network – stretching out to Eastbourne, the South Downs, and Steyning to name but a few. There’s no shortage of variety to what anyone can do in Eastbourne. Lining the seafront alone is access to water sport for the adventurous, children’s theme parks for the family and the Napoleonic fortress turned museum for the historically curious, just to name a few attractions. Once you’ve enjoyed a scenic journey by bus, why not travel along the seafront on the Dotto Train to see the Victorian boardwalk, the 1930’s bandstand or the Sovereign Harbour, three long standing staples of the seaside town? Or perhaps even take a luxurious boat trip and enjoy the fresh sea air. Eastbourne isn’t all about its iconic seafront, however further into the town lies the award winning Eastbourne Towner Gallery. Inside you’ll find international contemporary art exhibitions, outreach art projects and Towner’s own collection. And of course, there’s a gift shop to take a piece of leading South East culture with you. And be sure not to miss out on over seven beautiful parks to explore, including the vibrant floral displays of the Carpet Gardens and the secluded, wooded amphitheatre of the Italian Gardens. Check out visiteastbourne.com for all the attractions and events available in the town - we’ve only just scratched the surface of what Eastbourne has to offer!

CHICHESTER FESTIVAL REVAMPED A dramatic experience in the newly refurbished theatre... estival 2015 marks the first full season at Chichester following the highly successful major refurbishment completed last summer. At the heart of this season will be major productions of Anton Chekhov’s early plays, offering the first ever chance to see Platonov, Ivanov and The Seagull presented in repertoire with a 22-strong ensemble of distinguished actors. The Young Chekhov plays can be seen individually or as a trilogy, either over different days or on one occasion as an intense theatrical experience. This season within a season is anchored by a trio of talent – Chekhov himself, playwright David Hare, who has written all three adaptations and director Jonathan Kent, returning to Chichester following his triumphant production of Gypsy in Festival 2014. The ensemble cast includes Anna Chancellor, James McArdle and Samuel West. Two major musicals feature in the Festival 2015 season. FILM Jessica Kellgren-Hayes
STARS IN THE CLOUDS n Kristen Stewart’s new film, Clouds of Sils Maria, a veteran actress comes face-to-face with a painful reflection of herself after agreeing to perform in a revived play that launched her career 20 years earlier. Coming from French filmmaker Oliver Assayas, the film is perhaps the most meta of films released recently. Not only is it a play within a film but the casting itself plays a large part in our perception of the characters. The actress, who is best known for playing damp squib Bella in the Twilight franchise and disliking her own celebrity, is cast as the actress’ devoted personal assistant, Valentine. Juliette Binoche, whose first film with the director launched her own career, plays Maria Enders; the actress who once played the role of Sigrid, an alluring young girl who disarms and eventually drives her boss Helena to suicide. Now, however she has been cast as the older character Helena, leaving the younger role to Jo-Ann Ellis (Chloe Grace Moretz) a wildly popular and scandal-magnet starlet. Maria travels to Sils Maria, a remote region of the Alps, with Valentine, in order to prepare for the film. The casting choices mean that Kristen Stewart near embodies the mesmerising real-life connections: here is an actress known for hating fame, for the lack of privacy, for having affairs with married men, for helming a huge film franchise whilst being widely disliked even by its fans. Valentine is cast with keeping Maria’s scandals out of the public eye, for encouraging her fame whilst managing her secrets… At one point Valentine asks Maria whether the actress had a romantic affair with the play’s director when she was younger. Meaningful, since Stewart had a highly publicised affair with a married director not too long ago. Stewart was originally cast as JoAnn, which would have created some far-tooobvious allusions. Instead she shines in a role built around anti-celebrity. Stewart’s acting and her looks are often questioned: she has never been the perfect teen starlet who wore pretty pink dresses and dated the latest hunk. In fact, it is often the performance of femininity that trips her up She shines in roles that allow her to overcome the stereotypical girly look because her style of acting will never fit that mould. Male actors, such as Heath Ledger, Clint Eastwood and John Wayne, are praised for their painfully visual physical repression - for a reluctance to express emotions that aren’t just punching or shutting down. Kristen Stewart has the same compressed emotional range: turning her character’s sadness inwards, a face darkly hooded and a voice reduced to a rasp. Her face is handsome with a winsome smile and a reluctance to make direct eye contact. Rather than being a limited actress, she is the classic ‘cowboy’ from a Western, forced to play pretty girls. Breaking away from her unsuccessful femininity allows her performance in Clouds of Sils Maria to be one of surety.

HOW SWEET IT IS Motown’s Greatest Hits boogie into the Hawth
n 1959, Berry Gordy Jnr had a dream, and with a loan of $800 he started Motown records in Detroit. In the 60s the production and songwriting talents of Holland, Dozier and Holland dominated the Detroit sound, the sound of young America, and they both penned and produced numerous hits for The Four Tops, and many more artists of the day. Tamla Motown was also the home of The Temptations, who, along with The Four Tops, have two of the longest and distinguished careers to date in popular music, going back to 1954 when the ‘Tops’ performed at a high school graduation party, and until fairly recently still consisted of the original four members. The hits continued throughout the 60s, into the 70s, the 80s, and even the 90s as Motown became a genre of music all of its own, and had people dancing ‘All Night Long’ all over the world. On Tuesday 19 May that’s exactly what’s in store at The Hawth – Motown’s Greatest Hits - How Sweet It Is – will have you dancing to the classics of Motown Legends The Four Tops, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Lionel Richie, The Isley

COMEDY
Victoria Nangle
SPEAK OUT
Freedom of speech at the forefront of comedy
ast year there was a big hoo-hah about a certain character on the comedy circuit called Dapper Laughs. He was accused of encouraging rapeculture, cultivating a safe zone for sexism and the objectification of women, and generally being more offensive than funny. He also had a TV show on ITV2. Now, there are a lot of comics out there who are deemed ‘offensive’. Many of them are also deemed to be incredible comedians, such as Frankie Boyle, Sarah Silverman, Doug Stanhope and Jerry Sadowitz, to name a few. The difficulty here seemed to be Dapper Laughs had gone from being a Vine sensation to a few live gigs, and then straight to the tellybox. He hadn’t paid his dues and honed his craft, and – more quizzically – he was being given a TV show of his very own at a reasonably prime time spot when other, more experienced, comics were being kept out of the small screen limelight due to the apparently inflammatory content of their material. Does anyone remember a certain rising in comedy in the 1980s known as ‘alternative comedy’, with the bastion of all that was seen as good taste and morality Mary Whitehouse being roundly lambasted

by those pushers of the frontiers of censorship? Hmmm. I’m not saying that Dapper Laughs is the new Rik Mayall, the very thought urges me to spit the sentence away in disgust. However, I am saying that the live comedy circuit is supposed to be a place where boundaries are tested and ideas blown apart. Where freedom of speech is pushed beyond tastes, and familiar ideas smashed without respect. That is what makes it different from the telly. The telly has to be more subdued and honorable – anyone can see it, even after the Watershed. Whereas in something that is being eroded on the live circuit, by the stealthy smartphone video clip and recordings, is the chance to play fast and loose and hear some really confrontational and uncomfortable ideas – sometimes from really big names, and sometimes from really big brains. Chris Rock has complained that with this current danger of a new piece of material ending up on YouTube without your permission, there’s less of an opportunity to take risks. And he has some great risk-taking material. Comedy is there to entertain and make you laugh, but also challenge the status quo. You don’t have to like what it says, but it must have the freedom to speak and push in all directions – not just the ones we’re comfortable pushing in. And in celebration of that, one of California’s most outspoken and cutting comics, Scott Capurro, is this week’s recommendation. Described by critics as ‘vaingloriously poisonous’ and ‘the best way to spend an hour!’ Step out of your comfort zone. Once a quartet, now a trio, as Jack Wylie tells Jeff Hemmings hat's in a word? Sometimes a great deal…. From former Mercury Music Prize nominees Portico Quartet, to just Portico, much has changed for this new-born trio, who once upon a time traded in groovy, instrumental jazz, and folk. Now, they are into electronics, trippy dance and vocals. The change in sound has been profound, as can be heard on the new album ‘Living Fields’. "We got to the point about a year ago, where we were a bit fed up and not feeling creative. We were about to stop doing it, but we thought we'd wipe the slate clean and give it another go. We were going to change the name completely, but we thought that dropping the word Quartet would be a signifier that we weren't going to play that kind of music anymore, that jazz stuff," says Jack Wyllie, who along with Milo Fitzpatrick and Duncan Bellamy, make up the current Portico. 1 Dirty Weekend In Brighton Dirty Weekend In Brighton Vine left last year prior to the name change and change of direction…. "It was time for us to do something new and not feel restricted by our past, the heavy jazz associations we had. Our taste in music had changed and we wanted to do something that reflected that. The instrument palette is substantially wider too, there's a lot of drum machines, live drums, lots of guitar which is pitched down an octave, electric bass, quite a few sampled saxophones (which was Jack's man in instrument in the Quartet version of Portico), heavily manipulated and processed, so they don't sound like saxophones much… Lots of ambient recordings; one of an old ship being torn apart, the noise of our studio, lots of stuff!" Although they did feature one vocalist on their last album as Portico Quartet, this time they
have made the conscious decision to include vocals more prominently on Living Fields. Jono McCleery sings lead on four tracks, alt-j's Joe Newman on three, and Jamie Woon on one. "It was something (singing) we had been meaning to do for a while. It was all part of the change, starting fresh, moving away from that jazz world. "We lived with Jamie for a couple of years, and he knew Jono, who's does all the vocal duties on tour. And I grew up with Joe, we lived four doors away from each other. He was really good friends with my younger brother. They used to play in band together; I heard some of the early embryonic songs of alt-j while they were rehearsing. We always had a mutual appreciation of each other's music." The Haunt, Sunday 19 April, 7pm, £16.88

ust because I married a Dane doesn’t mean I’m a sucker for all things Scandi. (Although I’ve never met anyone else with ‘buy a Sarah Lund sweater’ on their bucket list. And it does mean I get Georg Jensen jewellery every Christmas.) My penchant for Nordic knitwear aside, I defy anyone not to be charmed off their chair by the style of Brighton-based, half-Danish illustrator and artist Mia Underwood. Mia creates multi-media drawings, paintings and soft sculptures inspired by the natural world, woodland creatures and mysterious folk tales. She’s always Mia Underwood experimenting with new techniques - from painting on wood with gold leaf to making three-dimensional needle-felted animals. (How amazing is this tiger!) She has been curating the art exhibition Into the Woods in Brighton since 2009, and has published two books, Nordic Crafts and My Felted Friends. You can see more of her work in our new book: Art in Brighton 2015 – so get hold of a copy now. Don’t miss: Is Farm Road the most densely creatively populated corner in the city? Perhaps. And there’s never been a better time to find out. Because at The Naked Eye Gallery , David Donno is Jill Tattersall hosting an international, collaborative exhibition in which artists explore the multifaceted term 'in between'. Indulge in the unseen traces of the face of the environment, shadows and light evolving between architectural structures and urban spaces, being in between cultures, borders and genders and the link between Germany and England. Until 30 April. Out of town: After 15 years or so of trying to find out what art’s all about, Jill Tattersall admits she still hasn’t a clue. But that hasn’t stopped her capturing those intense, extra-vivid In Between moments we all experience in glorious visual form. Often she’ll start out by making her own paper – a time-consuming process that gives each piece a unique and distinctive texture. Jill is currently sharing an exhibition with Mark Greco at Pelham House, Lewes. Until 12 May.

SEASONS EATINGS
Andrew Kay finds much to like at Fish + Liquor
hen I first came to Brighton some thirty years ago one of the things I loved was the seafront in the winter months. Back then things were shuttered and boarded up at the end of summer until the tourists returned at the start of the next season, which was always Easter whether it fell early or late. The advent of a year round tourism scene has no doubt benefitted the city's prosperity, but I still miss my blustery winter walks along the lower promenade and up onto Madeira Drive. Brighton's sea views are far less exciting in the calmer summer months than they are when the winds howl across the beach and the sea crashes onto the pebbles. You can still enjoy that of course but it now comes served with a host of fashionable bars and eateries. Nice as that is, I miss the odd off season thing. Last week I took a wintery walk along Madeira Drive to Fish + Liquor. The venue has long served fish and chips but the new owner has given it a thorough make-over, giving it a mid-century modern vibe and adding a good selection of drinks too. I admit to being apprehensive. I am a lover of traditional fish and chips and a great fan of Bardsley's in Baker Street. Fish + Liquor could quite easily have become one of those mad deconstructed fish and chip jobbies, you know the kind, where the chef decides that the great British classic needs re-inventing when to my mind it does not. What do you think? I was joined by my friend Mr G, a pescatarian, who occasionally indulges in a bratwurst. Odd, I know. We settled at a comic page covered table and I had a heart starting double espresso to knock the sharp corners off what had been a very long day. Followed of course by a pint each of very good craft IPA, an excellent start to what turned out to be a rather good fish supper. Mr G chose the cod and chips with a side of mayonnaise. He is part German and chips in his

home-land require mayo it would seem. I prefer haddock, a bit meatier and fuller in flavour than cod. At this point I will reveal my guilty secret. Since childhood I have been a fan of chip shop curry sauce. So I was delighted to find it on the menu and ordered it. We waited what I can only describe as the appropriate amount of time for our fish to have been cooked fresh to order. Our meals arrived on wooden boards. Now I know this offends some – I personally find meals on a roof tile rather annoying – but wooden boards? Well I can live with them, especially when the food is good, and this was very good! Point one, the chips were crisp outside and fluffy inside, they came in a bucket which is a bit of a fashion silliness but being confined did keep them hot. Point two, the batter was stunning, crisp as a very crisp thing, not flabby or floury and cooked through. It was very well done and in being well done it meant that the fish inside was steamed to perfection rather than being greasy. It's all about the right temperature, fat or oil, and clearly it was. Point three, the tartare sauce was home made and very well made at that. I despair of bottled tartare

sauce which is a characterless vinegary slop. And don't get me on to plastic sachets of sauce which make my blood boil. Oh I nearly forgot, the curry sauce, well to be honest it was exactly as I wanted it, good old fashioned curry sauce, a sweet and mildly spicy gloop into which I could pop the chips. I liked the seared lemon half too, the singed flesh does give the citrus an interesting edge. Price wise it was surprisingly inexpensive, especially to be sat inside. Portion wise it was more than generous, I could not finish my chips. That of course could have been because we tried the fishcakes. I like a fishcake but to be honest there are some bad ones around, made with too much potato and not good potato at that. These however were very meaty with flaked fish, well seasoned with a hint of lemon zest, and coated in crisp panko crumbs. In short I liked it a lot and was sad to have to forego a slice of home-made Victoria sandwich cake – another time, as I am sure there will be one. 017_LS724_interview - Haydn Gwynne_011_LS466_interview 09/04/2015 16:28 Page 1
HAYDN SEEK Haydn Gwynne, shows her considerable stage talent in Women On The Verge Of A Nervous Breakdown in the West End. Victoria Nangle finds out more ...
Firstly, congratulations on your nomination. this isn't your first Olivier nomination… Yes, I've made the loser’s stage many times (laughs) for different things. I mean I've had some luck in a few. I think you have to go [to the awards]. There are several nominees up there, you're very lucky, it's such a lottery. I mean there are loads of wonderful performances from people out there. There are always arguments over who should be in this who shouldn't be in that. I think you have to thank your luck, it shows you've been noticed. You're lucky you get the role in the first place to be honest, because for actors particularly – generally speaking, you get nominated when you've been given a bloody good role to play, if you know what I mean. Without being self deprecating at all, you know you need a good role – particularly in musical theatre. You also need a good song. Both Tamsin (Greig) and I here have both been nominated and got lovely roles to play, very different ones. Where you familiar with Women On The Verge Of A Nervous Breakdown before you were cast? No I wasn’t. I was obviously familiar with Pedro Almodóvar, not an expert on his movies by any means. And I was like; Have I seen ‘Women On The Verge Of A Nervous Breakdown’? Because I sometimes get the titles mixed up, but in fact no, I hadn’t. So I came to it fresh. What do you think makes it continue to appeal to audiences in the 21st century because the film came out in ’88? Almodovar’s work often works - or used to work - on two levels. On the personal, on the character, but he’s often saying something else. At the time, the Franco era was not long gone, so when the film actually came out it was also operating as a sort of metaphor for Spain. Coming out from under the tyranny, if you like, of a dictator and rediscovering its freedom and – obviously that’s not something that we’re particularly thinking about, if at all now, in England in 2015. So I think it’s really about the characters. I mean it is a comedy. It’s a farce particularly, so that can work in any era. But certainly the characters - if the characters have any truth in them underneath the craziness – that will be relevant in any era. There are period touches in it and a lot of the plot revolves round an answer machine. You

I think there are opportunities perhaps for more crossgender casting generally little unexpected because of the way that the character is set up. It takes them aback and gives them quite a big lump in their throats. Particularly because the character has been set up very much in the comic vein up to that point and it suddenly gets a bit real. And that’s one of the pleasures of the show, that it walks this line between absurdity – and it is certainly great fun – and then with deeper more serious issues.
know you can’t update it because you can get hold of everybody on their mobile phones now. And the play just wouldn’t be able to exist in a modern setting in terms of its narrative. But what’s going on with the women and all of their varying, near emotional breakdowns, hopefully is relevant today. In my case, I’m the only character who has had a full on breakdown. She’s been locked up in a mental institution for 19 years, now she’s out and she’s suing her ex husband for deserting her 20 years earlier. And what my song is about in the second half, called ‘Invisible’, is also about the invisibility of the middle aged woman and what happens. There’s a line in it where; ‘now things are pretty much the same as how they used to be, the young men still are smiling’ – she talks about at the beginning of the song how the young men all used to smile at her, and she says; ‘the young men still are smiling, they just never smile at me’. You know, waking up one day and suddenly everything is in the past. And where did that life go that you thought you were going to have? And.. oh. It’s gone. And certainly the older women in the audience are very taken aback. Because it’s a rather unusual thing for a song to sing about. A

You've done a lot of stage recently in recent years. With Maxine Peake’s Hamlet getting a lot of recognition recently are there any traditional male theatre roles that you would like to approach at some point? I've looked at Macbeth when I was playing Lady Macbeth years ago, and listening... as wonderful as Lady Macbeth is as a role it's quite short and it's kind of like pages have been torn from the book. And where her mental disintegration begins, it does work incredibly well – almost indestructibly well – (that) sleepwalking scene, that she just disappears from the play all together and when she begins to see glimpses of her conscience you know – she has four lines of doggrel! Whereas, Macbeth, from that point on, had some of the greatest soliloquies, extraordinary! Up there with the best Shakespeare's ever written. And I do remember standing back stage going: I'll never play that role. so, it would be great if more of those did come my way. I also think there are opportunities perhaps, for more crossgender casting generally. You know we often update Shakespeare, costumewise and what have you, and budget reasons of course, but also to try and give them a feeling of relevance. But we don't often bother to look at where we might transgender the roles, some of the supporting roles. I'd love more of that to happen. Always speaking from his own unique perspective, Moran waltzed through such mundane topics as long-term relationships, having kids, shopping, and dieting – all the while putting his own spin on it so as to add sprinkles of magic and blarney. A delightful example of this and a fabulous bonus was Moran's encore, now practically de rigeur with the big name comedy show format, when he strode back onto the stage to share his own attempt cashing in on the 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' phenomenon.

Yup, this is a fly-onthe-wall newbie, hiding in plain sight and recording what the geezers, chaps and dudes talk about when they’re having a jar or two in The Lord Nelson in London’s East End. From Cudge and Dodds who have been mates for 35 years, to City boys Joel and George out of their element.
The Mentalist Channel Five, 10pm Um... hate to break it to you guys but one of the team... you know – that team that we’ve grown to become quite fond of that make up The Mentalist’s ensemble? Yup, one of them. They get killed tonight. Yeah. Everyone else is pretty devastated too. Can’t tell you who it is though. Guess who’s at the top of their Most Wanted?
Scorpion ITV2, 9pm These were just supposed to be the science geeks, right? They barely get time to see their home base lab-place before they’re dashing off to South America, war-torn anonymous-land, or even the beach. So, this time the ‘science geeks’ protect a key witness about to testify against a drug cartel whilst on the run.

Gotham Channel Five, 9pm Penguin, Penguin, Penguin. Big dreams, but really not as much substance as you might like, eh? Now that you’ve got Fish’s old club, do you really think that running it is as easy as simply swanning about and making your Mum feel special? Wake-up graft time, dude. Oh, and Fish shows just how ruthless she can be.
Modern Family Sky1, 8pm You know those tracking apps? Those things that help you find your phone but actually just tell you that you’ve lost it in your flat? Yeah, Claire might be after a few of those as, armed with just her trusty laptop, she’s stuck at an airport and trying to track down Haley – who has gone off in a huff. You are in the airport.
