COOPERATIVE MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY A place for socio-cultural innovations
The marginal condition of inland mountain areas has led to social, environmental and economic imbalance in territories such as Monte Cimone. In their marginal condition, these landscapes are facing crises related to depopulation and abandonment in the absence of services, thus leaving an unattractive territory for inhabitants and visitors. Therefore, causing an economic decline for the remaining populations that still inhabit the area. Added to all this is the environmental and climatic crisis as a contemporary problem of the Anthropocene that forces these territories to a non-negotiable need for change.
A symbolic transformation is envisaged for the landscape of Monte Cimone, through a systemic vision. An exploratory scenario of social cohesion is proposed for this territory, which seeks to address the migration of the population and the constant marginalization to which this area has been subjected, together with a necessary adaptation to climate change.

Cooperative Mountain Community aims to address the perspective of landscape resources as the main value of the place, translated into the recycling of infrastructures in a socio-cultural dimension and re-inhabiting the heritage related to rural architectures and the culture of the forest to turn the landscape of Monte Cimone into a place of socio-cultural innovations.
