Join us for a live, in-person concert as we welcome Justin Wells and his band back to the library stage for an in-person show! A roots-rock songwriter with a rough-and-tumble rasp of a voice, Justin Wells’ music shines a light on the highs and lows of a life spent on the road.

True Crime: John David Gosch Tuesday, January 25th • 6-7pm Location: Auditorium REGISTRATION REQUIRED

John David Gosch was a paper boy in Iowa who disappeared without a trace between 6 and 7 a.m. on September 5, 1982. He is presumed to have been kidnapped. As of 2021, there have been no arrests made and the case is now considered cold, but remains open.

Rye Davis: LIVE in Concert

Thursday, February 3rd • 7-8:30pm Location: Auditorium NO REGISTRATION Join us for a live, in-person concert as we welcome Rye Davis and his band to the library stage for an in-person show! Rye Davis is a modern-day troubadour from Pig, KY. Performing over 150 shows a year both as a headliner and supporting act for names like Ward Davis, The Steel Woods, Chris Knight, Brent Cobb, and Whitey Morgan. He has been an invited performer at Nashville’s famous Bluebird Cafe.


The National WWII Museum: Examining African American Experiences in WWII Tuesday, February 15th • 6-7pm Location: Auditorium NO REGISTRATION

Throughout WWII, African Americans pursued a Double Victory; one over the Axis abroad and another over discrimination at home. Learn about how the major cultural, social, and economic shifts amid a global conflict played out in the lives of these Americans.

Thursday, February 24th • 6-7pm Location: Auditorium REGISTRATION REQUIRED Keven McQueen, author of Murder in Old Kentucky: True Crime Stories from the Bluegrass will recount dark and disturbing tales from the pages of Kentucky history.

An Evening with the King: LIVE Elvis Presley Tribute Show Friday, March 11th • 6-7:30pm Location: Auditorium NO REGISTRATION

Join us for a live, in-person concert as we welcome Tyler Christopher and his band to the library stage as we pay tribute to the king of rock-n-roll, Elvis Presley. This show will span the legacy of Elvis in his prime, a dramatically different experience than your typical Elvis impersonator. Tyler is a multi-award winning and nationally recognized performer. Once ranked top 5 in the world in Elvis’ hometown of Tupelo, Missisipi, the biggest Elvis Festival in the world!

Family CPR

True Crime: BTK

Learn skills that could help you save a life. This course is American Heart Association approved. Participants will receive a certificate of completion but no CPR cards will be issued.

Dennis Rader is an, American serial killer known as BTK. Between 1974 and 1991, Rader killed ten people in Wichita and Park City, Kansas, and sent taunting letters to police and newspapers describing the details of his crimes.

Homeschool History Fair

Monday, March 14th • 9am-12pm Location: Auditorium REGISTRATION APPRECIATED Love history? The Homeschool History Fair is the place for you! Participants will be placed in four grade categories (K-2, 3rd-5th, 6th8th, and 9th -12th.) There will be three winners awarded within each category along with an overall winner taking home the BIG TROPHY! A Homeschool History Fair entry form can be downloaded from the library website, or can be picked up in the children’s department. Entry forms may be turned in the morning of the History Fair.

Storytime: This interactive storytime is designed for preschool aged children, and focuses on building cognitive, social, physical, and early literacy skills. Readers are Leaders: Geared for school aged students, this program provides a time to discuss books, play games, and participate in exciting hands-on activities.
