My Brother’s Keeper
Thursday, July 7th • 7-8:30pm Location: Auditorium NO REGISTRATION With original music that draws inspiration from bluegrass, rock, and everything in between, My Brother’s Keeper strives to be unique as well as entertaining. The band consists of brothers Benjamin, Titus, and Joshua Luckhaupt and is completed by Wyatt “Sawmill” Murray. MBK is known for its contemporary sound, beautiful harmony, energetic live shows, creative musicianship, and positive lyrics, making the concert suitable for music lovers of all ages.
Steel Appeal
Saturday, July 9th • 11am-12pm Location: Auditorium NO REGISTRATION Discover the world of music with Campbellsville’s Steel Appeal. A 4-piece steel drum band that incorporates various musical styles from Africa to Trinidad. Learn about the instrument, performance techniques, and musical concepts during this hands-on session designed for all ages!

With shark tales all the way from South Africa, Mozambique, Kenya, and Mexico, Master Scuba Diver Johanna will share stories from her dive log. She’ll shed a different light on on the misunderstood predators and tell about her up close and personal encounters with the ocean creatures.
Sebastian Burns and Atif Rafay were convicted of a triple murder in Washington State. The two Canadian born teens would fatally beat Rafay’s father, mother, and sister. The crime went unsolved for a good amount of time until DNA tied the two teen killers to the triple murder. The two would be convicted at trial and sentenced to life in prison. However, there remains a lot of doubt regarding whether or not their confession was coerced and whether or not they are guilty of this brutal crime.

Learn how to form basic calligraphy strokes in this hands-on workshop. Karen Swayze will show us what’s needed to get started, resources for continued learning at home, and will demonstrate how to form the basic strokes for Celtic hand used in the 600 A.D. time period.

When Adrienne Willis (Diane Lane) arrives at the coastal town of Rodanthe, N.C., her life is in chaos. The only guest at the inn is Dr. Paul Flanner (Richard Gere), a man tormented by a crisis of conscience. As a storm approaches the coast, Paul and Adrienne find comfort and a life-changing romance. This movie is rated PG-13.

Barnyard Bonanza Petting Zoo Wednesday, July 20th • 10am-2pm Location: Library Parking Lot NO REGISTRATION
Get hands-on and pet some adorable animals as we host our Barnyard Bonanza Petting Zoo. Honey Hill Petting Zoo will bring animal pals including alpacas, a mini cow, a mini horse, a mini donkey, rabbits, sheep, ducks, and even a camel! This event is FREE and will take place in the yard in front of the library. We do expect a crowd, so please be patient with us and take the opportunity to make some new friends and learn more about what your library has to offer. While you’re here, visit our friends at Somerset Community College, as they host a special event with London Rotary Club and Evolve KY, where visitors can get hands-on with electric vehicles and learn more about the benefits of this new technology. There’ll be food trucks, vendors, and we’ll be there handing out FREE LCPL water bottles.

ON EXHIBIT A Cast of Blues
June 16th - August 11th The captivating masks and images in A Cast of Blues tell the story of the hopes, sorrows, and triumphs of the men and women who lived and breathed the blues in Mississippi. The exhibition is fully accessible to all visitors, featuring braille labels and educational materials, as well as a music playlist for gallery use and a closed-captioned film about the Cast of Blues project. Visitors are encouraged to touch the resin-cast masks. Says McConnell-Dickerson, “As a sculptural and visual art experience, feeling the life-made casts of these individuals and their facial expressions transfers their experiences directly to our fingertips.”
