THE SCHOOL IS A SEPARATE REALM WHERE CHILDREN SPEND LARGE AMOUNTS OF TIME. A SCHOOL IN THE EYES OF THE KIDS IS A CITY FOR ITSELF. IT IS AN INITIAL SENSATION AND FEELING OF SPACE. PERCEPTION OF HOW LIFE MIGHT LOOK LIKE. HOW PLURAL DO WE WANT TO SHOW THE WORLD IN THE EYES OF KIDS? ARCHITECTURE IS ALWAYS A PROCESS. IN OUR PROPOSAL WE PRESENT THE CONCEPT AS THE MAIN DRIVER AND MOST IMPORTANT PART OF EVERY PROJECT. THE SHAPE OR FORM THAT WE ENDED UP WITH WAS CHANGING DURING THESE 2 WEEKS ON A DAILY BASIS, AND PERHAPS IF WE HAD THAT MUCH ADDITIONAL TIME IT WOULD CONTINUE TO CHANGE. THIS PROPOSAL AIMS ON SHOWING THE CONCEPT THROUGH THE ZONING, NATURE OF SPACES, CONNECTIVITY BUT ALSO SEPARATION, DIVERSITY AND MIXING, A FEELING OF INVITATION BUT ALSO A FEELING OF SAFETY. THE IDEA OF BRINGING THE PUBLIC INTO THE PRIVATE.THE IDEA OF HAVING CORRIDOR-LESS CLUSTERS WHERE THE WHOLE INNER SPACE IS CLEAN AND USABLE THROUGH LEVELS, THE IDEA OF USING SPACES THROUGH DIFFERENT TIMES, WHETHER OR NOT THE SCHOOL IS OPEN. THE IDEA OF ANTITHESIS AND DUALITY OF PERCEPTION. LEARNING THROUGH DUALITY THE URBAN SYSTEM CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING SPACES: +CONNECTION METRO-HOUSING-COMMERCIAL; -DIVISION OF THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL FUNCTION; +AN OPEN-SCHOOL, CLUSTER PRIMARY SCHOOL ON THE LEFT; -A HYBRID, LAYERED-FUNCTION SECONDARY SCHOOL ON THE RIGHT; +A CLOSED INNER COURTYARD ON THE LEFT, SURROUNDED BY BUILT FORM; -AN OPEN PARK SURROUNDING THE SCHOOL ON THE RIGHT; A JOINT PLAZA IN THE MIDDLE: + INVITING FOR THE PUBLIC; -CONNECTING FOR THE 2 SCHOOLS;
