May 2 - Straw Weaving Bracelets: Enjoy the art of weaving using yarn and drinking straws.

May 9 – Bird Bookmark: Create a bright and colourful bird bookmark with felt.

May 16 – Flower Fork Painting: Use a fork to make a colourful spring picture. We will also be making our own personalized puzzle.

May 23 – LEGO Vehicles: Create an assortment of vehicles as we construct with LEGO. Afterwards, we will make a little town for the vehicles using shoeboxes.

June 6 – Flower Clip-Ons: Do you need a decoration for your backpack? We will be creating flower clip-ons that will brighten up your bag, as well as handprint cacti.

June 20 – Popsicle Craft: We will be creating a “popsicle” with coloured tissue paper and playing “Popsicle Bowling.”

May 6 – Post-It Art Show: Pop in to create tiny works of art on Post-It notes. We will save them to create a Post-It art show in the Bright’s Grove Library.

May 13 – Bead Snake: Make a colourful snake with beads and pipe-cleaners!

June 3 – Self Portrait: Trace yourself and decorate your portrait!

June 10 – Creative Corner: Create whatever you want, however you want, using the provided materials.

Louise has lived gluten free for 20 years. Review popular gluten free cookbooks, discuss cooking methods (such as Instant Pot and Air Fryer), and explore substitutions to make all your favourite recipes gluten free.

Make a Rain Chain to place in your garden or flower bed. We will be using a terracotta flowerpot, twine, and colourful beads.

Explore basic poetry concepts. Take a written piece of text from a book, newspaper, or magazine and redact words, to come up with your very own poetry!

May 25 – Unicorn: Read “Shine Like a Unicorn” by Shelli R. Johannes, then create your own shining unicorn with paper, markers and some glitter too!

June 10 - Styrofoam Bowl Turtles: Create your own little turtle! Using a styrofoam bowl for a shell, colourful card stock legs and fun googly eyes.

Learning For Lifebeginners Genealogy Workshop

Monday , May 1 – 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

This will be a workshop for those beginning their genealogical research. The Lambton County Archives will teach participants how to start their family tree including an overview of what we can discover using Ancestry Library Edition. Participants are encouraged to bring tablets and laptops to follow along with the instructor while learning about Ancestry Library.
