June 3 – Unicorn: Read “Shine Like a Unicorn” by Shelli R. Johannes, then create your own shining unicorn with paper, markers and some glitter!

June 17 – Sheep in a Jeep: Despite there being sheep, this program won’t make you sleep! Prepare to have a blaa-st with this book and craft.

May 3 – Hippos: Read “Hippo Goes Bananas!” by Marjorie Dennis Murray and create a paper hippo.

May 9 – Button Bouquet: Make a bouquet to give as a gift and show your appreciation on Mothers Day. We will use wire, buttons and felt to create cute flowers.

May 10 – Flower Painting: Create 3D art with this salt, glue and paint activity.

May 16 – Rain Stick: Make your own rain stick instrument using cardboard tubes and explore the science of sound at the same time!

May 17 – Frogs: Read “I Don’t Want To Be A Frog” by Dev Petty and create a leaping frog craft.

May 24 – Snails: Read “Escargot” by Dashka Slater then create a fun rocking paper snail.

May 31 – Jellyfish: Read “Just be Jelly” by Maddie Frost, then create a jellyfish craft.

June 6 – Flower Weaving: Make vibrant and colourful flowers from a paper plate.

June 7 – Sailboat Painting: Create 3D art with this salt, glue and paint activity.

June 20 – Flying Butterfly: Create a colourful butterfly with moving wings. We’ll learn how caterpillars turn into butterflies.

June 21 – Bubble Painting: Experience a new media art style, as we pop some one-of-a-kind flower inspired art.

June 27 – Spin Drum: Create a spin drum, decorate it and give it its own style.

June 28 – Volcanoes: Read “The Red Lemon” by Bob Staake, and then create your own gushing, red lemon volcano.

DUNGEON & DRAGONS BEGINNERS AND BEYOND

Thursdays – 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

This D&D program is oriented toward adults that have never played D&D but are interested or curious - as well as more advanced players looking to meet like-minded people within the community. Create a character from scratch in the first week, then play several sessions through an adventure from start to finish in the following weeks. Learn the game mechanics, how to use the reference material, and make new friends with your team in an unforgettable adventure!

One Seed Lambton Preparing Your Garden

Saturday, May 6 – 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Sipkens Nurseries will explain how to get ready to plant your seeds, when to plant them, and how to plant them in either a backyard garden or a container garden. One Seed Lambton is a program to encourage everyone to grow their own produce and save their own seeds for next year’s planting. Seeds will be available for all participants to take. All levels of gardening experience are welcome from those who have never grown a single plant to those with green thumbs.
