The plan includes recommendations for new residence halls, improved student life facilities, an expanded library, science and nursing academic space, expanded athletic facilities and the development of visual and pedestrian connections to the lake and campus greens.

PLANNING

Effi Thomas College is on a fast track expansion, to accommodate the overwhelming number of students applications, specifically out-of-state students. A master Plan was prepared to formalize open space and future building locations on this Waterville Maine Campus. Increased dining, athletic facilities and classroom buildings will be added to the campus. The new facilities surround a proposed College Quadrangle, creating a central gathering space for students and faculty and providing an improved image for the College. New and reconfigured parking areas, roads, utilities and landscaping were parts of this Plan.

BETHEL STATION MAINE MASTER PLAN & CONCEPT DESIGN - BETHEL, ME

This master plan sets the tone for an initial 60-acre development that will connect Bethel, small scenic Maine town to a nearby ski resort in a way that maintains the turn-of-the-century character of the area. The plan calls for a 130-room hotel, movie theater, restaurants, condominiums, and space for retail and service businesses as well as a passenger rail station carrying vacationers from New York City, Connecticut and Boston the railway line, will be open during ski season. The traditional New England architecture of the buildings and the use of brick sidewalks and historicstyle street lighting help create a look that is in keeping with the vernacular of the town.
