ASPIRE Nominations - Autumn 1, 2016 Nursery Nominee If I could describe B in one word it would be ‘Superstar’! Over these last few weeks, she has blossomed above and beyond my expectations. She has not only made great progress academically, has impeccable behaviour but… has also developed socially. B is incredibly helpful and always goes that extra mile to ensure that her friends are enjoying their time at Nursery. She can often be found supporting the younger children in Nursery, taking on the ‘teacher role’ with them. B is an extremely creative young lady with a vivid imagination. It has been an absolute pleasure watching her confidence grow since she started Nursery. She has become our very own resident doctor and can often be found making sure all staff and children are in good health! I know that B will go on to achieve great things at Leamore and I am honoured to say that I have had the pleasure of being her teacher! J
Reception Nominee
L is a kind and caring member of Reception. She always has a smile on her face, is patient and eager to learn L has a positive attitude to learning and likes to share her hard work with others. L respects others, listening to what others have to say and encouraging her peers to share their thoughts and ideas. L takes her time when carrying out activities, maintaining a safe environment for her to learn in.
Year One Nominee A has a brilliant approach to learning and h a s e m b r a c e d Ye a r 1 w i t h s u c h enthusiasm. In all that he attempts, he has a determination to be the best that he can be. This thirst for learning is typical of his behaviour. On occasions, A finds his work challenging but he never contemplates giving up; instead, he perseveres until he eventually completes the challenge. I know that A loves attending Leamore as, every morning, he sits attentively on the carpet waiting with anticipation for the day to begin. With his gorgeous smile, he truly brings a ray of sunshine to any rainy day. What is spectacular about A is that he is also a fabulous team member who is truly skilful in allowing others to have their say. He is always polite, kind and respectful and you will often witness him encouraging others. We are all so immensely proud of you A Luke. Well done!
Year Two Nominee K is someone who does not find everything easy. Since September, she has really had to dig deep to be able to complete all of the tasks that have been asked of her in Year 2. She has grown in confidence and can always be relied upon to give 100% effort to every task. She has developed a real understanding for the need to work independently and will always attempt a task before asking for help. She stood up in our play and said her lines beautifully, confidently and loudly which, at the beginning of the year, she would have struggled to do. She is displaying all of our ASPIRE qualities and is making good progress this year in every subject. I am very proud of her!
Year Three Nominee H is always respectful to all adults and children a like; she always tries hard at everything she does. If asked, H will always help and, at times, she will go above and beyond what is asked of her. H can very be quiet in class and can go unnoticed, but not when it comes down to her work. Heidi has recently received her KS2 pen license for her superb handwriting; she is definitely the cursive handwriting role model for the class. Words cannot describe H’s level of kindness and the lengths she will go to make sure everyone around her is happy. I am incredibly proud of H - not only for the sheer hard work and determination she puts into every singe lesson, but for the way she has settled into the KS2 way of life and how she takes every step and challenge in her stride; she makes it look easy! H’s overall attitude towards school is superb and I believe that H is a fantastic role model for Leamore Primary school and the ASPIRE vision.
Year Four Nominee
Since the beginning of Year 4, G has been a joy to teach all day, every day. She consistently models the correct learning behaviours, and understands how to effectively use her learning time. As a teacher, she is perfect to have in a classroom as she is dependable, hard-working, and produces a high level of work and presentation in all areas of her learning. G has been able to demonstrate the schools ASPIRE values daily; she will always behave safely and appropriately around school, she is supportive of other students and will never give up on a task. G never has a bad word to say about any other class member, but will always encourage others around her before thinking about herself. G should be incredibly proud of how hard she works, and fully deserves this ASPIRE nomination to recognise her outstanding contribution to school life.
Year Five Nominee S has been the perfect pupil since starting year 5. Everything I have taught, she has tried to use and, where she has found this difficult, she has either asked for further help or used resources independently to try and work it out. Looking at the work in her books, it is clear to see the amount of progress she has made. With S, however, the effort doesn’t stop at the content of her writing or maths but covers every aspect of school life. S takes an active role in School Council and genuinely wants what is best for our school. She portrays every letter of ASPIRE and tries her best unfalteringly. She is a pleasure to teach.
Year Six Nominee
A is an absolute pleasure to have in the classroom as he has a fantastic attitude towards learning and always gives 100%, whatever the subject may be. A is always ready to work, has outstanding listening skills and sets a shining example to those around him of how to be a star learner! During the last few weeks, A has impressed me with his mature attitude and his drive to succeed. He pushes himself to reach his targets and never gives up, even when he finds the situation challenging. He is also polite, thoughtful and helpful and has a smile that brightens the room! He is a fantastic role model and displays all of the values of our ASPIRE vision at all times! Well Done A! What an amazing start to Year 6!
