Narrative
1
Located in the midst of Tanjong Pagar, the building is designed as a place to revitalise the cultural heritage through celebrating the green plot in a heavily urbanised area. The building uses the concept of excessive overlapping spaces to strongly encourage the user engage and invites user to explore different parts of the building, leading to a more memorable and meaningful experience.

Sectional Perspective
Narrative Main concept that drove our design was after learning about urban heat island effect. "Urban heat islands" occur when cities replace natural land cover with dense concentrations of pavement, buildings, and other surfaces that absorb and retain heat. This effect increases energy costs (e.g., for air conditioning), air pollution levels, and heat-related illness and mortality.

we decided to introduce more green spaces to balance out the dense urban areas. In the Low Zone, we plan to implement a rocky shore and a series of boardwalks as well as Puddles, Pools and Ponds. Puddles will serve as an intimate gathering space for 5 or less people. As a freshwater reserve, the space can be used as a rain garden or a picnic area and will have a walking trail around it. Pools will also be a freshwater reserve, and a medium meeting space for groups of 15 or less, where water sports can take place or a water playground can be implemented. Ponds will serve as a big gathering space for groups of up to 30 people, and can be both a freshwater reserve or a saltwater catchment. As a freshwater reserve, the space can be used as an amphitheatre or a community plaza when dry, a bio-pond or edible garden when filled. As a saltwater catchment, the space can be used as an amphitheatre or a community plaza when dry, a mini beach and a learning trail for the biodiversity in the area when filled. They can be accessed even via the boardwalks.
Narrative To propose new model for future living by designing their own unique prefabricated housing systems These housing systems are a response to the unmet housing needs today targeting the aging generation, and the inevitably of demographic changes or migration patterns as a form of climate adaptation and resilience in the future.

Design Concept The residential space emphasises strongly on connectivity between each levels. The space is being designed with 2 different floor plan layouts stack above each other with each serving a different purpose. The sharing unit acts as the core of each level which allows residents from all walks of life to come together and bond.

Jernad & Billy, Aged 32 and 35 years old, married - Stays with their one year old child and enjoys family time
Tom, Aged 69 years old, single - Stays alone ,often lonely & has problems taking care of himself
Narrative To bring across a nostalgic feeling for users while bringing convenience into people’s life. The idea of the product comprises of my childhood memories and a playful element to spark up life. It hopes to evoke Singaporeans’ emotional and memorial resonance and always keeping a youthful heart towards life when looking upon this product. The toilet roll holder took inspiration from the design of the dragon head, and it also gives a quirky look. The excess holder is added as the dragon’s body and took inspiration from the Chinese new year dragon dance.

Narrative Inspired by tulip’s petals, De Bloom aims to bring users together and highlights the experience that they will enjoy within the space. The walls shaped like the petals brought upon new meaning towards the used materials and signifying the symbolism of tulips, which is rebirth and the start of a new life. Through the space, we hope to inspire and introduce more opportunities for students and bring life back to the space. Spotlights will be placed at the top of the installation, casting out light rays through and onto the overlapping patterns on the walls, making it an engaging area for users. This area will then stimulate users’ senses and allows them to interact with it. The installation is also movable which changes human flow around the area and adds as an interesting element to the surrounding.
5
Narrative Through spatial analytics and user research on the existing cafe, we found out that the area has low accessibility but general good feedbacks from the public. How Might We create an interactive experience for visitors to come and learn about the migrant workers culture while enhancing their dining experience through various visuals and activities, giving visitors a chance to understand and empathise the migrant workers?” From that we came up with a series of interior designs and programmes that aims to provide more interactions between the public and migrant workers.
6
Narrative ‘Back to square’ having the meaning of starting again from where you begin is designed to create a bonding space while allowing users to find comfort while reflecting through nature. This space is dedicated to mainly staff and volunteers to allow a strengthened community while creating meaning to life. The space is being splitted into many parts to allow different level of privacy and usage for different users.

Narrative The client request for a minimalist interior design for an ice cream shop in the neighbourhood that fulfills low budget and includes a feature wall for customers to promote their product. Many of the interior renderings includes preserved furnitures and finishings from previous shop owner yet added earth tone and elements to fulfill client’s requirements.
