Fourth of July fireworks lighting up the night sky in December! There are plenty of great FMB restaurants who are open where you can eat and drink throughout the day. There will be free live music in Bayside Park starting at 4 p.m. Chasing Denver takes the stage at 4 p.m. followed by Guilty Pleasure at 7 p.m. After the ball drop at midnight, the fireworks will begin offshore of the Times Square area. The Matanzas Pass Bridge will be closed to oncoming traffic from midnight to 1:30 a.m. Big Carlos Pass Bridge on the sound end of the Island will be open.www.fortmyersbeach.org

Thenextscreeningwillbe heldonDec.13from9a.m. -2p.m.atthePediatric SpecialistOffice,15901Bass Road,Suite102,FortMyers.

Itisestimatedthatonein every44childrenisdiagnosedwithsomeformof AutismSpectrumDisorder, makingitmorecommon thanchildhoodcancer,juvenilediabetesandpediatric AIDScombined.

Medicalconsultantsfor theprojectstressthatan

earlydiagnosiscanmakea vastdifferencefortoddlers andtheirfamilies.Theysay earlyintensivebehavioral interventioncanmakean immensedifferencenotjust inthedevelopmentofthe child,butintheirfamiliesas well.
