Message from the Annual Fund Chairs: Brad and Erin Struck

DEAR FELLOW EAGLES,

The year 2020 has been unlike any other. Now, we are deeply humbled to serve as your Stronger Together Fund chairs, and we are grateful to stand with countless others who have a profound passion for Christian education. Proverbs 22:6 tells us, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” We wholeheartedly believe that LCA is working in partnership with us to raise strong leaders with biblical convictions who will be a light for generations to come.

The Stronger Together fund has a dual purpose: to keep our community together, no matter the circumstances, and to benefit LCA as a school.

When we received the invitation to chair LCA’s fund-raising efforts during a pandemic, it certainly caused us to pause, as these are unprecedented times. Some families are thriving; others are facing unforeseen challenges. We prayerfully considered leading this effort, and now we are delighted to be able to support our school — and other families — into the future.

To help families and staff weather the pandemic, all unrestricted donations to last year’s fund were reallocated to Tuition Assistance and Benevolence. More than $900,000 in Tuition Assistance funds was released to families who needed help keeping their children enrolled during this challenging time. How different our school would be had these funds not been available! It is tremendously important that we continue supporting one another as brothers and sisters in Christ.

The Stronger Together Fund also bolsters LCA programs and initiatives. Last year’s Annual Fund, for example, made possible a Spanish library for the Lower School, new training equipment for athletes, and a variety of technology enhancements.

And now we ask you, our fellow parents, to work alongside us. Today, we are asking for your contribution to the Stronger Together Fund. You may make a gift of any amount. If you are particularly enthusiastic about a specific LCA program or initiative, you may make a designated donation. The Stronger Together Fund encourages “Every Gift from Every Family Every Year.” Our goal is 100 percent participation.
